Fast play the ball to acting half back.

Long slow pass to next static player in flat attacking line

'Ere mate, you 'ave ago and see what you can do.

By that time the Kiwi, Aus, Tonga, PNG defence have swamped us.

NZ fast play the ball, acting half back darts forwards, deep and active attacking line easily outruns our first line of defence.

Walmsley and Thompson look very average at international level. Jack Hughes is not international standard and mcgilvary has been finished for a while. Aside from Clarke over Hodgson, the NRL lads generally look miles better than the SL boys

I've not been able to see the game yet.  It will be hard work when I do.

If we keep droping the ball, if we keep making errors then i do not see it matters who coaches us. The vast majority of these players were developed or made their games in superleague.   Their minds are not focussed.

With the plausible exception of St.Helens every other team was totally inconsistent, regularly riddled with errors, and the only other team that got any plaudits was London, and they got relegated.

And if we look at Saints, who won the league at a canter, both their star forwards "looked very average".

Oh... Yes... Salford deserved their plaudits did they?  Who is the Lions assistant coach?  The knee jerk reaction to criticise Bennett misses the point.  We missed some players, we might pick a slightly different team. But as a group it should still play better.

Injuries have been cruel... but our competition is inferior.  Our players live in a comfort zone and so, mostly, do our coaches.  From top to bottom, slap happy. Its probably right to have a coach that works in the UK, but untill the whole ethos of how our game works is improved we will struggle.  Fiddling round with the deck chairs is not going to save the Titanic... or the Indomitable.

Well that was rubbish! It was slow, boring and predictable. I thought last week was bad, this was a whole new level of bad. Last week we didn’t kick at all, this week the last tackle play seemed to be kick it as high as you can, doesn’t matter where, just whack it. Also couldn’t understand why we constantly tried to force a prop over the line instead of trying to spread it near the try line.

That was terrible. Widdop, Hastings, entire backline (apart from Lomax), Burgess, Hodgson, even Clarke and Graham... all rubbish. And Austin on the wing... WTF?

No, Lomax was rubbish as well.

It gave me a laugh at least, with that effort in the corner from Austin where face planted after missing the ball, then to top it off James Graham ( don't know what he's been smoking) said in the post match interview that GB have improved pmsl. Jonathan Davies hit the nail on the head with his views, and when they said about next weeks game he said good luck with that.

I'm not sure if you're implying I'm a secret advocate of Salford or have some agenda against saints, neither of which is true. I love Thompson and the way he plays, he just smashes the other super league forwards all over the place. But in the game today he never made any post contact metres, ditto Walmsley, they were both stopped dead in their tracks. Chris Hill, who I'm not a massive fan of, was our best prop. That's the way I saw it.

Elliot whitehead is an absolute warrior, does so much hard graft and never plays less than 8/10. He for me should be captain. Graham is not that effective any more and is not a loose.

I think this says more about Jiffy than about the truth of his comments.

Graham is an ultimate competitor but picking him at loose does highlight Bennet.

A bit of advice though sometimes it's best to just not reply or respond, just saying!

I'm not disagreeing with you.  Except that the game does not have loose forwards, we have "middles".   But our forwards have been poor, it has to me faced up to.

Bennett must have amazing powers of persuasion if the players still do what he says when clearly things are going so badly.

Poor. Hopefully that's it for Bennett era. And plenty of that squad shouldn't see a shirt again. Great servants but Graham and Hill certainly won't be playing the WC so should move aside for others now. So many question marks going forward the complete backline shirts are up for grabs; the halves have been poor again. Hodgson just can't replicate for England GB and i would feel we go better with a Roby/ Clark combo.

infact Only Bateman and Whitehead come out of this tour with reputations intact and certainties for the test series next year.

I was so happy when Bennett was appointed, but no more, he’s got to go

Personally think it’s hard to blame tired players at the end of a long season, who’ve had a fossilised Keiron Cunningham coaching them.

Maybe but even the players that have been in the NRL for a good while made unforced errors and didn't particularly play well.

Well my expectations were low , and that certainly lived down to them . No way is that a vintage kiwi side but we’re so bad we make them look way better than they are . I just find it depressing to watch , we look like we’ve regressed and retreated to some ultra conservative boring style , but even doing that ironically we’re still making a ton of errors . We just look clueless - our attack seems to be smash it in with muscle , or throw it around laterally while running round in circles , followed by an aimless hoof up in the air to the back three to run back easily . You could count our offloads on the fingers of one finger ... one out drives just makes you so easy to defend against and the defence is always in control of the ruck . Just way to comfortable . At least they try to play . Losing is bad but it’s killing me how we’re losing ... barely firing a shot . Yes he had frayed edges on the wing , but I thought Austin looked quite lively and likely with the pill ... why didn’t we get him in the middle when we’re playing catch up ? What was there to lose , he looked better than the halves . Another error strewn underwhelming display in all . Our creativity and threat are virtually zero . Forget having no centres , we don’t need any . Was Hughes playing I never seen him

Worra load of cobblers.

Oz would have put at least 40 on them and Lord knows how many on the "Lions"..

Pundits like Wilkin, Noble and Betts make excuse after excuse and will never criticise. Peacock is the same when he is on.
