Oliver Clothesoff Posted November 6, 2019 Share Posted November 6, 2019 England Football have a Supporters Club, which is free to join, and a Supporters Travel Club, which costs £75 and covers two years and gives you cheaper tickets and an option of away/tournament tickets. All we need is more games and tickets to be on sale over a year in advance, so that when international RL is on the BBC and some people are thinking “I fancy seeing some live games, where can I buy a ticket?”, they can. If its a bobble hat and a scarf or something then okay, with the ticket discount you've got a good deal there. Interesting that one of the main criticisms of our sport is the lack of.planning for big events and creating a sense of demand for the big games. Yet, here we are two years before a World Cup with the organisers offering a guaranteed ticket package as part of an official supporters club and there is literally nothing but negativity about it on here. The two biggest events we could have for English Rugby League fans. It's the perfect time to launch an official England Rugby League supporters club. Guaranteed England tickets at the World Cup is the big one for me. They are looking to create a core base of fans and a high demand feeling for this event. Something that the administrators have been accused of failing at in the past. We criticise them for no foresight and planning and yet when they look two years out we criticise them again. Great idea to build excitement up for 2020 and RLWC 2021. Definitely incentivises people to buy a ticket to live games, part with cash and build revenue. So what isnt to like about it... Well besides the fact we have no fixtures confirmed for 2020 yet... Surely you launch this with the added incentive to buy your ticket for next year, now... BASICS!! Very clear call to action and reasoning why you would by it. The fact everyone is arguing "its pointless" tells you everything!
