Catalans will cover any shortfall if they get to the final again. TWP have agreed special conditions (assume the same as the above). Force each finalist to buy 13k tickets at 20 quid each, and then they can retain any profit. The RFL gets 26k sales at half a million quid income. If TWP or Cats only sell 2k then they may lose out. The RFL can't just keep hoping for a combination of Leeds, Wigan, St Helens, Warrington and Hull FC to sell out the final. It's one of our showpiece events - the RFL still insists that it's a "blue ribboned" event - they should have no difficulty in selling it as long as they are smart and proactive about it. Why do kids in bands sign up at pay to play venues If the clubs think they have the support then they will pay - if they can't sell 13k for a final they ought to be asking themselves who they are playing for as it is obviously not fans Think it is a great idea - they could use some as sweeteners for sponsors, rewards for people like ball boys etc. Imagine being able to say pay £x for sponsorship and if we get to the finals you get 10 tickets - likely you could up the sponsorship enough to cover the outlay on those 10 tickets Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
