I know an article about this is floating around the general section, but as it belongs here and is now finalised for this year....

Anyway, the big mystery for me is how do teams get added and deleted from the list? Four were added and seven deleted. Some of those removed are active so it must be to do with governance. For more on it, just follow the link:

A few months back the RLIF sent out an email telling nations that they are cracking down on nations that didn't have any status with them (Observer, Affiliate or Full). They said that they required X, Y and Z documents or they would lose their ranking.

I can tell you, El Salvador received that email, sent in everything required and was still removed. The now IRL has confirmed it was an oversight on their behalf so the rankings are actually a bit different than this latest release.

Will they correct it? Or will they wait until next round?

My guess is the latter.

Thanks for that info. The number of teams deleted was unprecedented so I thought there must be something behind it.
