DOGFATHER Posted December 6, 2019 Share Posted December 6, 2019 High's Northern Rail Cup Win 2010 - I've been going since the early 80's and I never thought I would ever see Batley win a major trophy. Grand Final Loss - Was really disappointing but great to get there and what about the 2 rounds previous - Excellent. Paul Mennel's try against Fev away in a must win game to avoid relegation during Harrison's first season. Finishing 3rd in the League and the reception from the Rhino's fans at Headingley in the middle 8's. Low's Summer Bash a couple of years ago, losing to the Rams despite scoring more tries than them, but we couldn't kick a goal. Not competing against an average Sheffield side 3 times last season. Keep The Faith Posted December 6, 2019 Share Posted December 6, 2019 Highs- Northern rail cup ( our first trophy win since 1998) play offs win against Leigh & featherstone in golden point grand final appearance finishing 3rd twice in decade.. Halifax at home this season it was a game we had to win for many reasons lows not kicking on after 3-4 great seasons losing to dewsbury in 2017 when they hadn’t won a game losing in the cup to them and the bash Sheffield scoring a cricket score both visits in the last 2 years in the league http://tombatley.wordpress.com/ Give it a read.. Fave moment - standing at Headingley as the whole South Stand sung our name and feeling so proud. NRC win. Lowest of the lows - waking up in a hotel room in Toulouse and reading all those tweets.
