Have spoken with the guys behind charity Dev Inno Ltd that have done donations/development in Serbia and Africa. They said they can act as central point take donations (tax deductible), issue receipts and contribute to the cause too. They don’t take a cut either.

If this would help let me know and I’ll get it sorted.

How would that work then, shall I email the Jamaican RL and ask if they’d like us to sponsor a team, how much etc, then if it’s a go-er can you sort it out with Dev Inno and then they pay the money over?

It looks like they’re Australian, would that mean we pay two lots of exchange fees though, and could we still get the tax deductible benefit?

Have spoken to them and have got the go ahead.

I’m not sure about exchange fees but it can be administered through PayPal to ensure security and safety.

Can you email Jamaica?

Tax deductible definitely for Australians but may need to check local law. I don’t think this is essential for a donation of £10 or £20.

Now xmas and nye is done, is everyone still keen?

Yes I am but we don’t have anywhere near enough people who’ve said they’ll donate, and even then only 75% who’ve said they will may actually get round to doing it. That said I’d put £20 in if I had to, to help get to $500.

Build it and they will come!

Please get it going, then if we come up short, we can ask the contributors for a pro-rata further contribution to get us over the line.

What's the mechanism for paying the money?

Give me a couple days to get it sorted. In the meantime, who else is good for £10 or £20?

I'll throw in a 10er or so
