No programme is just an excuse, typical of the "can't be arsed" attitude of many clubs. If you don't sell many , just print a small amount. Surely programme ads over a season cover the cost ? It's a service to supporters. I like to know who's playing for both teams. Turned up at Workington Town today - nothing, not even a team sheet. All those West Bowling fans I am sure would have liked a memento of their day out.

Totally agree, the history of clubs and the memories of fans, were always in the programme, it's an absolute disgrace that the majority of clubs are ignoring fans wishes.

NO programmes at Shaw cross versus Eastmoor game. I cant find the Digital link either?

Yes, I emailed the Shaw Cross secretary on Friday evening. He said Sharks are 'going digital' this season, adding the club's designer is away at the moment. It's why there wasn't a programme of any description yesterday. Why I went elsewhere for my Saturday sporting fix!

I dont agree with this move by clubs. A programme is part of the game and a physical momento.

Will be interesting to see if decent quality fanzines try and fill the gap. There are some decent articles/insights written by fans and a reasonably priced alternative might sell very well.

This is an example (versus Featherstone, 2/2) of Batley's 2020 digital offering:

Thanks for posting that HM.

To be honest, this is not an online programme. It's just a webpage. Leigh's online prog is at least a PDF in magazine format. I don't see the point of calling this a 'programme'.

National Conference League Beverley can be relied upon to issue consistently good printed programmes, at a bargain £2 (including admission), to boot! Here's Bev's offering for this afternoon's (7/3) 2020 Second Division opener against Woolston Rovers...

Looks very much like Thatto Heath Crusaders are continuing, in 2020, with last season's programme model: a limited number of printed copies available at £2, with a free download also on offer. Here's a link (incorrectly titled) to Crusaders' issue for today's (7/3) National Conference League Premier Division opener against Featherstone Lions...

Link to the digital version of the Hensingham programme, an eight-pager, for a 29/2 National Conference League fixture with Third Division rivals Batley Boys (owing to pitch issues, played at St Benedict's RUFC). Hensingham made this available as a free download only after the match, which suggests, as last season, they are including a printed programme with admission.
