It’s well known Souths want Arrow for the 2020 season and don’t want to wait until the 2021 date currently agreed.

Titans have so far said no to the early move. Now however they seem to have budged with certain provisos:

The Titans are standing their ground as the Rabbitohs look to secure Jai Arrow for the 2020 season after the talented forward signed a deal with South Sydney for the 2021 season.

Gold Coast will refuse to let Arrow walk down the coast and out of his contract unless the club can gain a fair return for their sale.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports that the Titans will look to play for Tom Burgess or Cameron Murray if a deal is to get done for Arrow.

I don't see how they could do it salary-cap-wise. They would have to release a player of equal value and who is that? Reynolds? Murray wouldn't be on that money yet. I think he's still on his first senior contract. It would be funny if, after Latrell talked up his friendship with Cody Walker, Souths had to let Walker go. The only player Souths could release to cover Arrow's bill would be Damien Cook and that won't happen.

No way south's let Murray go

Titans are a dead set rabble

How.they only find 600k a year for their best player.and south's managed 800k

He wanted to stay there

Cartrught and.peachy are on like 600 to 800k each

Holbrook.needs to put a broom through their roster.

They are going to be top heavy with backs, and a bit light on forwards unless one or two reserves step up this year, as there’s talk of an English prop signed for next season ???

Doueihi johnson and gagai to leave so it's just swapping players?

Despite worries that the reoccurrence of his hamstring problem might keep him out for the season he is having scans on Monday and has hopes of playing a part in the 2020 season at some point.

On the Titans’ web site he said while he felt a pain in training it wasn’t as bad as the previous time when he damaged it.

Losing James is a real stab in the heart. He is adored by our fanbase and seen as a prototypical Titan. If the team was going to lift and change in 2020, it was going to be with a lot of influence by James.

I hope for the best. And like many fans also hope a great job is waiting for him after footy. His interaction with the fans is first class.

Gold Coast launch Titans Together to care, include unite and inspire
Titans.com.au

The Gold Coast Titans’ connection and commitment to the local community has been taken to a new level this morning with the official launch of “Titans Together”.

Since the birth of the Gold Coast Titans back in 2007, the Club has been driven by its commitment to the local community.

That commitment has seen the Titans Community Foundation raise more than $3.5 million dollars in donations, and invest just short of 21,000 hours, to create a better life for the people of the local community.

Today launches a new era for that commitment, as the Titans Community Foundation officially becomes Titans Together.

Using the popularity and profile of rugby league, the Gold Coast Titans are driven to create a better life for the people of our community, driving change through the power of positive action.

As Titans Together, we will Care, Include, Unite and Inspire.

At a star-studded event at Kurrawa Surf Lifesaving Club, hosted by Fox League’s Yvonne Sampson, the Titans launched Titans Together with a demonstration of four of the long-term programs currently run to improve the lives of people in our community: Deadly Futures, Disabled Surfing, Touch Football Specialised and Titans LeagueAbility.

The launch was capped with the presentation of a cheque for more than $70,000 to Titans Together from Spano’s IGA, The Sunland Group, Lloyds Auctions and Haydn Chambers to support the initiative and the programs involved.

Run in partnership with the Australian Sports Foundation, all donations to Titans Together are used to drive a range of community projects across Indigenous education, inclusion projects like Physical Disabilities rugby league, as well as development, participation and high-performance football programs.

“Community has always been at the heart of this Club,” said Titans Executive Chairman Dennis Watt.

“Anyone who has witnessed the hard work and results achieved over many years by the Titans Community Foundation would attest that the work done by the Titans in supporting the people of their community is not just among the best in the NRL, but world-class.

“If you needed further evidence, you only need listen to the inspiring stories of the people who have been involved in these programs and the life-changing – and in some cases, life-saving – influence the Titans community staff have had on them and their families.

“Being a Titan is about more than wearing the jersey. Everyone involved in these programs is inspired to give back to their community, and be part of something greater.

“We are indeed fortunate that we have so many businesses, big and small, and like-minded individuals who share this Club’s vision to make a better life for the people in our community.

“This is what it means to be Titans Together.”
