Dave T Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 Now at Headingley (less glamorous than some other years). Will we find anything interesting out? TV coverage for Catalans and TWP? New sponsors?
EastLondonMike Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 Pinched this from someones linkedin feed. And more from Gareth Walker. All very positive. Newham Dockers - Champions 2013. Dave T Posted January 24, 2020 Author Posted January 24, 2020 Looking forward to seeing some of the stuff to come out of this.
tuutaisrambo Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 There seems to have been a launch video which is getting well received........wonder if they will lets us see it at all? None of this launch is on the SL twitter feed yet.........should be LIVE really.....is it on sky?
Chronicler of Chiswick Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 A positive and optimistic thread on here? Could this be the start of a new trend? (please!)
Whippet13 Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 Updates here: https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/live-rugby-league-transfer-news-3772757 Betfred doubling their MOM payments next season to £500 with half going to Rob Burrow and half going to Mose Masoe.
Cheshire Setter Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 I hope the documentary will be restricted to Prime members with registered postcodes within commuting distance of the M62. Otherwise Amazon clearly don’t know how to produce a RL programme.
Dunbar Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 Very good news that we have some content on the Amazon platform as the quality there is usually very good and reaches a different demographic. Did anyone on here even know this documentary was in production? "The history of the world is the history of the triumph of the heartless over the mindless." — Sir Humphrey Appleby. Chris22 Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 Sounds positive! Although the Super League press release says the 4 part documentary is on Sky rather than Amazon. https://www.superleague.co.uk/article/1220/super-league-set-for-new-tv-show-&-documentary
Man of Kent Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 Season launch video released on Saturday, apparently. Plenty of hype that it’s a good’un (though we heard that last year when it was distinctly mediocre)

This is great, but does it mean players can no longer pick their own charity?
Dave T Posted January 25, 2020 Author Posted January 25, 2020 So it seems the launch was positive, with a couple of snippets of good media things and a focus on the stars who have joined the comp this year. No news on international TV rights or any new sponsors. Fingers crossed that we get a series of announcements this week, but I would have expected new sponsors to have been involved in the launch.

The NRL always do really good promo videos

The NRL always do really good promo videos I like the ones that marry players and RL culture, like the recent NRL promo showing a ride at night through ‘League land’.
