And as for heating oil, in theory, if I had enough storage space, I could heat my house and have on-demand hot water for a year for less than £350. It's bonkers. In the last 12 months it has fallen from 60p a litre to 16p a litre.

You have to understand that it is impossible for petrol to be less than £0.70 per litre over here due to fuel duty and VAT. Fuel duty is fixed at 57.95p per litre and then VAT on top at 20%. So even if it was being given away free we would still have to pay 70p for it. I’m not prejudiced, I hate everybody equally

I can't answer that I'm afraid as I don't have a car! But I'm sure someone else will let you know. In theory a litre of petrol should be dirt cheap at the moment but I'm talking about Britain and most of our petrol cost is taxation. ETA: someone already answered it! Saintslass
Well, I have just ordered a Covid home testing kit. At least I hope I have. It seemed incredibly quick and easy and I just can't believe a government website is that quick and easy! Tonight I feel unwell. It may be that I am over-tired (I don't know about anyone else but my ability to sleep is shocking lately) or it may be that the visit to ASDA almost two weeks ago when I was worried about how close people were getting in the store did indeed cause me problems. A lot of us are reacting to feeling unwell with immediately linking it to c-19. I've done it myself. Its difficult to assume any other perspective at the mo. Hope all is well. Inactivity, low stimulation levels.... e.g lockdown.... can contribute to this I mentioned on another thread that there's a university-led piece of research being done on mental health. A major reason for this is the issues around sleep, motivation and, for want of a better word, "catastrophising" that are affecting fairly significant numbers of people - and not all directly to do with the illness. Furloughed workers or those who now don't have a job at all will be at high risk. Like everyone else has said, hopefully @Saintslass it's nothing at all to worry about.
