Anyone fancy doing a Championship prediction league again? I'd love to take part but realistically I'm not sure I'd have time to keep up running one.

Anyway...

Dewsbury 10 - 42 Leigh

Toulouse 26 - 14 York

Batley 18 - 24 Featherstone

Bradford 12 - 42 London

Halifax 28 - 10 Sheffield

Oldham 8 - 42 Widnes

Whitehaven 22 - 20 Swinton

Hardest one to pick this week is probably the Haven V Swinton game. I suspect the others will be comfortable wins for Leigh, Toulouse, Fev, London,Fax and Widnes.

Going to be tough marra on heavy ground as well. Haven be well up for this can't wait.

Without the proverbial elephant in the room (or perhaps King Kong astride the Empire State Building, swatting away all challengers would be a better analogy) this season ought to be ridiculously competitive.

Skybet offering some seemingly generous handicap odds eg Widnes -8 v Oldham

Thats printing money. Oldham are going to struggle to be competitive this season. Im going to have a bit of that.

Now just for giggles we all know that bookies love people betting on accas im going to give it a whirl. Will try to put them in order which I think is best value(Using Bet365) as can't get more than 50p on at Sky):-

Widnes -10

Toulouse -10

Halifax -4

Leigh -10

London -8

Fev -12

Only one I might disagree with there is Leigh -10. Dewsbury seem a bit more upbeat this season and on a Friday night in January this might be a close contest against a Leigh team who are probably still finding their feet as an attacking force.

Confidence will be increased if Beaumont predicts an unbeaten season for Leigh beforehand.

Sky bet had leigh, fev and Widnes on -6, -8 and -6 a few weeks back. Glad I got in when I did.

Why would anyone at Fev predict an unbeaten season? Even Saints get beat!

I got itchy feet over this one and took it out. I saw the match highlights from Bradford V York game and it were a bit of a mud bath. On paper they should beat the handicap quite easily but its likely to be a slogathon in the forwards and I don't see a massive gulf in quality in the packs.
