Graham
There's been talk of a link between Craig Bellamy and Brisbane Bombers. It's not that he's to be their new coach, but he has been consulted about their set up by Craig Davison of the Bombers. Bellamy is 61 and has another couple of seasons penned in at Storm. If and when he packs it in as head coach it is thought he wouldn't want to take on a full time head coach roll. Having said that can you imagine him doing something half heartedly? What Bellyache has said, and hence the thread title, is that if the NRL do expand it should do so with another team from Brisbane (surprise surprise). Bombers are talking themselves up and say they could be ready by 2023. The Australian Rugby League Forum
DlEHARD
Bombers is a poor name. Especially with an AFL team with that name. As a Brisbane boy, I have long wanted a rival to the Broncos. Actually I even used to be a Broncos fan. I would prefer the Dolphins (North) or Jets (South) with a solid Brisbane base. Both have identity and history. And there are massive growth areas in each catchment. DIEHARD / TITAN / MAROON / KANGAROO
Sports Prophet
I agree, Bombers is a name synonymous with one of Australia’s largest sporting clubs. It’s unnecessary and lazy naming them the Bombers.
