Is there a chance Haas and Fifita could play for any of the Pacific Islands or are they only eligible for Australia?

Fifita is cousins with Andrew and David Fifita and is also eligible for Tonga. Haas has Samoan heritage and has previously represented the Philippines.

Yet if that was a young British kid scoring that try in SL the Aussies and most of UK fans would say..... poor defending.

Have you seen the try?

It wasn't  about poor defending at all.

Talent is secondary to whether players are confident.

I know but if it was in SL the Aussies would just say poor defence...

Remember the Ranji Chase bit of Skill of Salford a few years ago that went viral for a short time - the Aussie response was not to say how great it was but most just said - NRL reject V poor SL defence so would never happen in the NRL.

Rangi Chase.....????

He was a back not a second  rower, there is no connection between these two events.

It's more about the attitude of the Insular Aussies who ( a bit like Americans) dont look outside their little bubble marra.

Edit to say - 'he is' - I'm sure as a RL fan you know he is still playing.
