langpark Posted May 1, 2020 Share Posted May 1, 2020 PNG's Digicel Cup has announced it will aim to start on July 5th: https://postcourier.com.pg/digicel-cup-to-possibly-start-on-july-5/ I would like to put a question out there: Would you watch Digicel Cup matches if they were televised (under normal circumstances, not COVID-19)? If they manage to fullfil their July 5th starting date, I have a feeling live sport will still be pretty scarce, I really think it's a great opportunity for them to try and attract interest from international broadcasters. Good point, I believe that will apply for most RL fans, unless they could be smart and play at times that don't clash with NRL and or SL matches. Saturday/Sunday midday for example.
