Has signed for an as yet unnamed Premiership RU club for next season.

He won't score as many tries, that's for sure.

Damn and blast! ☹

The deal with a union club will be better than the army wages Hull fc matched for him. Would rather have kept him over faraimo.

Did FC offer him a proper contract?

Also, given the calls for the salary cap to be reduced, isn’t this, the loss of a key player for a Super League side to RU, who pay better, the exact reason why we shouldn’t even be discussing the reduction of the cap?

A tale as old as time - talented RL player with an RU background moves over. Will be called up to an England squad before this time next year. The good news is, depending on whether or not he's deemed in RU to be better than Denny Solomona, we might see one of them return?

If he has gone, imo it’s a big loss.  One of few players in SL that can genuinely score from anywhere on the pitch.

Maybe his recent injury caused during a reckless tackle could have contributed.  We’ll know in time,

Shame to see him go. As has been mentioned he'll be playing at Twickers in an England jersey before too long.
Must have been a good offer as you would have thought Hull would have done their best to offer him a pretty good deal.

Edit: Bristol Bears. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/52722795

Fair play - at least he's signed for a side who are many peoples favourites for the Premiership and Champions Cup next year.

If only professional opportunities in rugby league weren’t so geographically limited, we may have been able to keep him.

that is an easy one to hide behind.  The guy was on a low salary - he has signed for a very wealthy union club.  Geography is just an excuse here.  If he was offered life-changing money in RL, I suspect he would not have been quite so bothered to move 'closer to friends and family'.

Sad news, there is far more money in Union, until we can sort out our international game the gap will continue to widen.

Seems a lot of movement all of a sudden, despite the other code also having financial issues, which according to some press releases, are significantly more serious than our sport.

Knowing how much our sport looks after the players,I hope the outgoing player has been made aware of this hideous country

Shame but no surprise and had hoped he would stay in the game for the world cup next year. States that he is going back home to his wife in the south west - ah well!

Rugby Union convert returns to Rugby Union. A shame, but these things happen.

He's been great entertainment in his short stint in RL.

Then it's time this went to the Yawn Forum isn't it?

We all know it's a waste of talent, but he'll be with his wife and that's as it should be, and is really the only thing worth commenting on in this story.

Bristol v Hull in terms of cities can't have been a hard choice.

Why? As cities, I don't find Bristol much more desirable

They're throwing money about, which is interesting given union's big financial issues

All seems a long time ago now.
