He has always had a great engine and work rate but he is also one of the most skillful props in the game. His ball handling is very good for a big man and he is capable of laying on tries or throwing a pass for a line break... just a quick Google search on his Canterbury career shows a video like the one below - from 2 minutes 10 seconds you can see some of the great handling. But in the last few years this part of his game has just disappeared and it must have been coached out of him. Wearing the 13 jersey for St George he could easily be playing the same type of handling role that Jake Trbojevic has for Manly but he is being used as a straight up and down middle forward and is simply not as effective without that pass threat. Clogiron Posted June 4, 2020 Share Posted June 4, 2020 I think Roach is right he does need someone to tell him it's time to end it, thoughts of coming back here for a payday seem ridiculous, I think his body has taken enough and is probably telling him so yet he is (stubbornly) playing through it, with the number of head knocks he's taken that's not very wise.
