I would say he is daft as a brush but that is harsh on brushes.

Cracking game, but noticed the commentators not even attempting to explain why a set was reset.

Predictions for the future -

Crusaders RL to get a franchise for 2012 onwards -WRONG

Widnes Vikings also to get a franchise - RIGHT

Crusaders RL to do the double over Widnes and finish five places ahead of them -WRONG

Widnes Vikings NOT to dominate rugby league in years to come! STILL TO COME

Storm raging about Joey Leiiua's conduct in particular the 78th Minute sin binning which was reminiscent of Willie Mason assault on Sean Long back in 2006 IIRC which prompted even John Inverdale to come out with the line of "What does it take to get sent off in rugby league".

Leilua was like a raging bull in the last quarter of the game once his brother was the victim of an accidental high shot near the line which caused him to miss the rest of the game.

There was plenty of baiting going on after that including a West Tiger player taunting the Panthers by pointing to his head and sticking his tongue out after a Panthers try was disallowed for obstruction.

Really poor show from Wests' ~#Bring back Benji

Shouldve been Red.  The 2nd incident (by another player, I forget who), on the ground, was smoke to the fire.

Certainly a bad, unprovoked hit.

Would this have brought such anger if it had been Origin?  I doubt it would.

I didn’t see the game live and only saw the fallout online. I was expecting somewhere in the region of Mason on Fielden but not quite Flower on Hohaia. Having watched it, it’s not even close to either incident and is a yellow card and not a lot else.

Exciting contest . Penrith look a good side , could make the top 4 . Must say though I cannot be doing with that referee Gee ... all his games his involvement is off the scale . Restart , penalty , restart , restart , bunker etc etc .  Some of his  decisions there were bizarre .

Definite red. It was the height of thuggery. Edwards wasn’t even involved in the play. Leilua should see a long ban for that. Be interesting to see what he gets

He got four weeks.

Talent is secondary to whether players are confident.

It was. I've no idea why he wasn't sent off or why the commentators weren't calling for him to be so. It's pretty hard to defend Rugby League at times when cowardly cheap shots like that don't see a sending off.

I think 4 weeks is about right, although I think 6 would be more appropriate. I cannot believe Slater is defending him and saying it was harsh. The fact is, most high shots are a genuine attempt to make a tackle. Edwards wasn't involved in the play and Leilua just forearmed him in the head. It was outrageous
