Nothing will have changed from a coronavirus point of view except it will also be the start of the cold and flu season. This will mean even more rigorous testing will be required and if the RFL are continuing operation fear that it will cost 5k per week clubs are not going to enter.
Even more if we have a vaccine by then I’m not sure sure enough people will have it to make a difference.

Another pointless competition, 250k would be useful though and we will get to watch some game play

unfortunately that 250k is not for the winner  it's shared out  😬

 yes at least one match🤣

However if Longo gets his way we will be playing in the promised land

Against the Super League Chairmen Longo carries as much weight as a feather duster.Teams like Fev do not enter into their plans.London and Toulouse have a chance but rest of Championship clubs are clearly not wanted.

And there in lays the reason why crowds are so poor because the stay away fans know there's nothing at the end of the season. We had a great go at it last season but they didn't want Fev to win, heartland teams like Batley, Dewsbury, Oldham, Swinton to name a few only get 100's because it's a waste of time and money. Featherstone should be getting double what they do but people would rather spend it on other things because SL as ruined RL for the rest of us, you'll always get your diehards but even some of them are getting restless.

Maurice Lindsay's Murdock millions has a lot to answer for. There are more teams below SL but they are just , as far as the SL & RL supremos are concerned, just a waste of time(as stated in the post above) All they seem to want is SL and big city teams like London, and of course Toronto, Look what they have done to the credibility of the game. Which has gone further down the drain than is already is.

What a bl---dy mess

Mr McDermot doesn't even want c@$ or wakey in SL wants cities in, apart from Hull, Leeds and Salford which other teams are cities?

Let him try to suggest they should get rid of St.Helens (pop 102K) and Wigan (103K) then in favour of York, because it's a city that the whole world has heard of, and maybe Newcastle? Either club would be lucky to get a fifth. of their support yet they are far bigger.

Rochdale has a bigger population and has a less successful soccer club, so why aren't they as successful as Wigan?

Success in Rugby League is far removed from population measures, there are other, far more important factors.

I'll be glad when they finally get their way - A North Atlantic League comprising of 3 or 4 North American clubs, Catalans & Toulouse, Leeds, Hull FC, Saints, Wigan, Warrington, and maybe London? Then when the likes of Cas, Wakey, Hull KR,  Huddersfield & Salford get kicked out they can come and join up with us and the rest of the riff raff to see how they can survive without the Sky millions?

The super dooper would consist of Bradford Hull HullKR Leeds Salford Sheffield Wakefield and York. Such as Wigan Warrington and St Helens etc would have to play in the small town league. 😃😃😃😃😃😃 Swinton should have gone through with changing their name to Manchester to qualify for the top table.

Maybe Fev should change their name to Wakefield Rovers to qualify for McDermott's City League? They could always change it back again in a few years time.

If there was a team in Ripon, would he want them in! 😂🤣

And I forgot about the Jewel in the crown. The tried and tested London Broncos. Well coached on the field but nobody's interested nowadays because even they have seen how the sport is run.

And Nottingham, of course. Another iconic name that the North Americans are familiar with. I wonder if he knows we've been there before?

When will rugby league realise that it cannot possible run , even slightly successfully, with 2 governing bodies. Most sports , if not all, are run by one body . 25 clubs in our lower leagues did not stand a chance of a unanimous decision regarding the season, Now even SL And the RFL cannot always agree, Also how can the sport afford the inflated salaries of 2 chief execs and all their separate staff.

The game will never learn , I would have difficulty in knowing how many bullets are in their feet in my many years of watching Rovers.

Interesting to see that Fax have already stated that they will not take part in the autumn comp (see here: https://www.halifaxrlfc.co.uk/article/614/halifax-rlfc-|-statement-from-the-board)

Given that is the case the RFL will be struggling to get 16 teams. If it doesn’t work for Fax who will take part? Sheffield, London, Fev, Leigh, Batley, York, Newcastle, Toulouse?

If London don’t take part maybe we can have a 7 game world series (pardon the baseball pun) Fev v Leigh.

I'm sure I'll think of something funny to say soon.
