yes, its easier to get Huyton away programmes than home ones.

Following my original tongue in cheek response, I had 3 inquiries from Hull, Barrow and Oldham collectors looking for programmes at Huyton.

I would be interested if anyone had any Huyton programmes avaialble?

Huyton would print 50 programmes, & make a loss. Alt Park only stopped being vandalised when it became a soccer ground.

The football team in occupation, Knowsley United (who'd relocated from Kirkby, IIRC), didn't last long!

Football might be more popular in Huyton than rugby league but still the community declined to support a local team.

Alt Park, as you say, was much tidier when KUFC played there.

So is the ground no longer in use?

Used to pass it regularly on Sundays as a kid in the 70s being taken to grandparents for Sunday dinner.

Not passed by there for a while, maybe 30+ years

It's a resource centre (River Alt Resource Centre), park and play area these days.
