NRL Match Thread Round 13

A penalty to Souths makes 8:0, but now the Broncos have gone right up the other end and Farnworth's scored.

Melbourne v Bulldogs

Storm are on a run of 6 wins out of six after last week’s win over Newcastle. As always they will go into the match with confidence, but without Cam Smith and Ryan Pap.

Dogs though only lost narrowly to Parra last week and are showing signs of improvement. With a changed Storm side they might fancy their chances of an upset.

Storm:

Unavailable: Tui Kamikamica (Injured), Max King (Injured), Brenko Lee (Injured), Paul Momirovski (Injured), Cameron Smith (Injured), Marion Seve (Injured), Ryan Papenhuyzen (Rested), Ricky Leutele (Quarantined), Dale Finucane (Rested)

Bulldogs:

Unavailable: Joe Stimson (Injured), Will Hopoate (Injured), Adam Elliott (Injured), Jayden Okunbor (Suspended)

Knights v Wests Tigers

Both these teams have weakened sides. Both these teams have lost their last two matches.

So this could be a close call!

Both teams have a make-do hooker. Both these teams have shown they have some good footy in them. Knights have Blake Green added to their ranks which might give them a boost while Tigers are without one of the finds of the season, Harry Grant.

Knights:

Unavailable: Jayden Brailey (Injured), Tim Glasby (Injured), Edrick Lee (Injured), Daniel Saifiti (Injured), Andrew McCullough (Injured), Connor Watson (Injured), Sione Mata’utia (Injured), Bradman Best (Injured), Pasami Saulo (Suspended)

Tigers:

Unavailable: Jacob Liddle (Injured), Zane Musgrove (Injured), Michael Chee-Kam (Injured), Alex Twal (Injured), Harry Grant (Injured)

Panthers v Raiders

Two great teams to watch. This is arguably the best game of the weekend.

It’s a tough one to call, but you’d probably have to be a Raiders fan to look past Panthers in this one. They are playing top class footy and deserve to be sitting at the top of the table currently. They make very few errors.

Raiders play very good footy too, but have been making a lot of errors.

They’ll need to bring their ‘A’ game to this one if they are to win it, and Panthers will have to be knocked out of their very confident stride.

Panthers:

Unavailable: Kurt Capewell (Injured), Brian To’o (Injured), Dean Whare (Injured), Dylan Edwards (Injured), Charlie Staines (Injured)

Raiders:

Unavailable: Sebastian Kris (Illness), Corey Horsburgh (Injured), Sia Soliola (Injured), Emre Guler (Injured), Josh Hodgson (Injured), Bailey Simonsson (Injured), Semi Valemei (Injured)

STORM  v Doggies

5 minutes left and Storm lead comfortably 35 - 10

- Long range tries by JAC and Vunivalu

- Munster off with knee injury, could be gone for 2 weeks

- Lachlan Lewis got 10 in the bin for a high tackle on Munster. Looked bad from a couple of angles but not so bad from another. He then got JAC tight across the face

- Kewnny Bromwich scored a double.

- and with 30 seconds left, JAC chases a kick from a scrum on the 30m line to score

FT: Storm 41  Dogs 10

Close call then. I thought Dogs would do better than that against a changed Storm.
