Ian Lenaghan - London Broncos

Recommended Posts

Now that Wigan have a new wealthy investor involved in the club, may I suggest that Ian Lenaghan resumes control of the London Broncos.

Hearing rumours that David Hughes is lowering his investment in the club and the Broncos will become part time. Not good for the sport in London and RL.

If Ian could takeover and get the club to play out of the new stadium in Wimbledon that would be super.

There’s a rumour, as yet unconfirmed, that Lenegan is attempting to block potential new owners of Wigan Athletic so he can buy them at a reduced rate which would give him a chance of buying the DW for £2.5m.

More likely as a 15% stakeholder its Wigan Council who are doing any blocking.

It's moronic Latics fans who have no idea how administration works. Lenagan can't block anything. All he can do is outbid which you'd have thought would be welcomed.

If Ian can get Super League Administraters involved, he can get the club for free.

There’s plenty of vicious rumours flying around as well regarding the administrators, who haven't denied them, as well, which are fuelling this fire.

Administrators don't give a running commentary on what's happening. Neither are they particularly interested in whether the club survives or not. They are there to recover money for the creditors, nothing more.

The brain deads on twitter appear not to have a clue about any of this given their moronic proclamations.

Lots of rumours and half stories flying about, heard we'll know more about the administration after 5pm tonight.

But clever money seems to think that Lenagan will buy the DW, a French/American consortium will buy the football club and one training ground.

There's also the Wigan Post reporting 25% of the warriors is now owned by the 128th on the UK Times rich list, but no comment from Lenagan or the Warriors

Did Lenagan ever sort out his round the world tax issues with HMRC?  Seem to recall reading he was up in court, but never saw the final result, presuming of course its not an ongoing case.

So much wrong with this post, I'm not sure where to start.
