Cardypaul
No I would rather have a game where all teams were treated equally and not sneered at for being from northern working class towns. The game is going further and further from its roots and is dominated by clubs with rich owners who only want a big city global game.

bigbaldnmad
No, but once you add New York, Ottawa, Dublin and Valencia i'm sure the like of Cas and Wakey won't be wanted, nor the likes of Fev, Batley, Dewsbury or Halifax having any aspirations above been feeder clubs for the elite. That's without expansion outside of the traditional area's in England.

Oldham and Rochdale have much bigger populations than those two, so what has size of a town or a city got to do with it? IMO it can often be a disadvantage when compared to a closer knit community. Yeah agree to an extent but to be fair Wigan Saints and Warrington all have owners who have put large sums of money in over the years which has generated success and as we know if you are successful it will generate more support as happened at Bradford. jamescolin
Size of town is a point but good marketing is important to get support.

Not everyone can be winners though, and Bradford is a prime example of what can happen when the winning stops.

The irony is Steve that they are going on about the 10.000 average gate that Toronto would lose should they lose their RFL status and whilst everyone were fed up of the incessant Bulls mismanagement it's true to say the domestic game here lost more than that when punishment was inflicted on that particular club. SKY run our game not the RFL. The pity is super dooper wouldn't be so dooper without their money.
