Thought it was a cracking game, very close and Giants just about better side. Powell talking as usual.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Whatever Powell says it's not down to the refs, they are bad for both sides to my eyes, his team makes too many basic mistakes dropped balls, poor tackles, offloads that aren't sensible, poor game management the list goes on, if he got them right then he could complain about decisions maybe.

And it is always the referee’s fault

It's about time the authorities and his club came down on him for his tedious referee bashing, it's boring, it's harmful and it just shows him to be totally classless, in victory or defeat.

And some people want him as the England coach?

Two good games tonight.  Some cracking tries.  Thanks.

This world was never meant for one as beautiful as me.

While on the subject of Daryl Powell,

He’s a good coach and that’s it!

He’s not great, not international level perhaps not really top 4 material either.

His career suggests that he’s an average Joe as coach, he had it all laid out for him at Leeds and couldn’t handle the job. He had the biggest spend and the best squad in the division a Featherstone but won nothing and he’s had everything he wants over a long period at Cas but still hasn’t won a must win game where it’s all on the line!

Hes done a solid job at Cas, they’re competitive more than not, so no complaints about him not being a SL Level coach but just not top tier.

Superb effort from Fartown tonight, but can't get too carried away as Cas have players out, young lads having to play and the ref was, as usual, against them.

Jake Wardle was, once again, absolutely fantastic and must be pushing the status quo at international level very close at the moment.

Aidan Sezer is not only a fantastic player but an inspirational leader to those young lads - don't let Powell know we had men out too or his garden fence may be getting a good boot when he gets home!!

2 from 2 for Robbo and the idea of putting Turner to stand-off seems to have worked wonders, shame it wasn't tried before.

Big Wraps to Ash Golding, Jerry and Darnell too, great team performance and the ref was brilliant too, only kidding Daryl.

He's a class act, I've said for 2 or 3 years had he played for someone else he would be getting tugged over by the media and people on here.

There are classier ways of making your point Martin, but, yes he is a talented player. He needs a sustained period of high quality performance, and freedom from long injury absences, to get the recognition leading to international selection.

Maybe they should.

Maybe before doing that they should explain how they can issue a cumulative 19 game ban to 3 players for offences against his players, without his team even getting s penalty during the game.

My guess would be they did something punishable?

Exactly.  Maybe they should have been punished at the time?  Maybe the standard of refereeing is worthy of some criticism.

Maybe that's how the disciplinary system works - for every team.

Have you got home yet Daryl?

Does it?  Which team has had 3 opponents from 3 separate consecutive games retrospectively banned and not penalised during the game then?

It’s Steve Ganson’s fault tonight. The referees are all out to get them etc.

He ignores the errors by his own players like the knock ons by the likes of Turner, Massey & Blair with the latter just standing there watching the ball which was picked up by a Giants player who made 60 metres plus which would be a disgrace at any level

And with his referee blaming attitude they will never win anything of note. He sounds more like the coach of a pub team in the old Yorkshire League

It’s definitely something they need to look at but at present it’s not illegal

it can be argued, probably correctly, that it’s not foul play it’s just an unfortunate result of trying to win the ground during the tackle

I agree, but tell that to Ben Flower.
