Tricky question. But from what I've seen of him since he lost the election, he looks a lot happier and more human than he did before. Less dead, maybe.

Sorry but this can't be correct.

I saw him with his head bashed in, clearly deceased, in "The Infernal Serpent", quite possibly my favourite Morse episode.

Although I should have typed in his own inimitable style, as "MURRAY! WALKER!, NINETY! SEVEN! YEARS! OLD!!!"

It was only a few weeks ago some old F1 Hihlights were being played I think relating to Williams selling up with Murray’s commentary. I was thinking what a shame he died so soon after retiring. Sorry Murray. 😚

Many years ago I thought Ronnie Hilton had died, long before his time. I do have moments when I think I've slipped into a parrallel universe.

I care not for your family; I care not for your kin. I come in search of terror, though terror is my own; I come in search of vengeance for crimes and crimes unknown. I care not for your children, I care not for your wives, I care not for your country, I care not for your lives." - (c) Jim Boyes - "The Avenging Angel"

Delighted to learn that Angela Douglas, the actress who featured as the 'romantic interest' in quite a few "Carry on" films, is still with us and 80 today.

He lives in one of the villages near Fordingbridge, itself about twelve miles from Salisbury.  He once came up to me in the Salisbury Railway Station car park to ask about arrangements for paying to use it.  It's quite strange when you come across somebody, of whom you are specifically familiar from a particular, high profile role they have, comes up to you in this way!

I had a colleague whose family lived next door to the Walkers, so as a little girl she just knew him as 'Uncle Murray'!
