You missed off Mario Fenech.

I went for 2 squads for Leigh, one of permanent signings to make it more challenging and one for loans/DR. The halfback position had a load of options I couldn't fit suck as Dennis Moran, Rangi Chase, Danny Richardson..

1. Scott Grix / Matty Russell

2. Alex Brown / Adam Swift

3. Chris Hankinson / Matty Blythe

4. Toa Kohe-Love / James Bentley

5. Mathais Pala / Richard Owen

6. Samisoni Langi / Travis Burns

7. Bobby Goulding / Kevin Brown

8. Joe Bullock / Scott Taylor

9. Kurt Baptiste / Jonah Cunningham

10. Ryan Bailey / Greg Burke

11. Macgraff Leuluai / Tyrone McCarthy

12. Larne Patrick / Jack Hughes

13. Kyle Lovatt / Bryn Hargreaves

Did anyone actually see Dallas Mead play for Wire?

I did, twice.

The pre season game v Salford where he did his knee. And his comeback v Sheffield at the don valley,

Also one for the eagles fans, this was the night Steve mccurrie was announced as signing for them from rah rah.

Never pulled a shirt on iirc

Around 1979, Hull FC signed a prop forward named Alan Bancroft. Due to injuries to our forwards, he was put straight in the team for an away game at Cas one Friday night. He had quite a good game and a late drop goal from Brian Hancock saw us nick a point in a 14-14 draw.

Alan Bancroft never played for Hull FC or any other professional RL club again.

Perhaps he took his boots off and called it a draw.

A lot of those were only ever intended to be short term desperation signings so I think it would be more fitting to include someone like Luke Davico at Prop.

Sean Long's stints at Wigan (and Widnes) were pretty short. But there's a sortable list here: http://wigan.rlfans.com/fusion_pages/index.php?page_id=1735 - including Gary Hetherington's single appearance in Cherry & White.

Here's mine for Leeds. I'll stick to more recent times and exclude WW2 where we had a huge number of guest players including the likes of Johnny Lawrenson (Wigan) and Alan Edwards (Salford) who both won Challenge Cups - Edwards only played 2 games in total and for Lawrenson his one and only game was a Challenge Cup Final:

1 - Steve Pilgrim - RU fullback played 1 game 1992-93

2 - Ikram Butt - one game for Leeds off the bench but did pretty well elsewhere

3 - Nathan McAvoy - one game between playing for other clubs.

4 - Paul Bell - 4 games 2000 from the Storm before injury ended his career

5 - Steve Ford - Welsh RU trialist played 2 games - 'outed' by some public school kid, court case forced RU ban to end

6 - Mark Wilkes - worst stand off I've ever seen played once

7 - Gary Stephens - one game

8 - Kyle Amor (3 games)

9 - Phil Cantillon - 3 games 1997

10 - Neil James - 5 games over 3 seasons

11 - Kevin James - 1 sub game 1983

12 - Gareth Morton

13 - Alan Rathbone - probably shortest Leeds career ever at 35 minutes before breaking his jaw on debut.

From SL era only I'd go with:

Lee Maher, Gareth Raynor, Paul Bell, Chris Chapman, Nathan McAvoy, Scott Murrell, David Hulme, Kyle Amor, Phil Cantillon, Garreth Carvell, Eric Anselme, Dane Manning, Jason Netherton, Gareth Morton

I don't know what its like for other clubs, but well over a third of all players to have ever played for Leeds played less than 10 games.

You learn something new every day. I didn't know Eric Anselme played for Leeds. I remember him coming to Fax with 2 others in the 90's at some point but don't think any of them played 1st team for us. Did Ben Kaye start out at Leeds or am I imagining that?

I know Shaun Edwards was in the Twitter thread.

I'd take Brad Mackay out. I still have fond memories of him - he was immense for one season.

Perhaps we could bring in Harvey Howard or Ryan Hudson?
