retires tonight from "look north" -top bloke who loves his rugby league, great service to broadcasting and reporting both on tv and radio. raised thousands for charities over the years and been a familiar friendly face in our living rooms for as long as i can remember - good luck in your retirement (70 tomorrow) and with your new baby - cheers "arry"

A victim of the BBC cuts to regional news programming who decided to fall on his sword, there will be a lot more on the way out in TV & Radio and it doesn't bode well for RL coverage either.
