Best to postpone it by one year now IMO as it’s inevitable, otherwise we’re going to have blown half our marketing budget on tv adverts for a tournament that’s 2 years away.

Disagree, a year is a long way off.

They already have a full contingency plan in place should a postponement until 2022 is required. This has been made very clear for a long time.

There are deadline dates in place for any decision to be made and all tickets sold to date, numbers of which have been excellent, are on the basis of a full refund or transfer should the Tournament not take place in 2021

What’s the deadline date for a decision? It’s been clear all along it’s a possibility.

There are a number of dates but late Q1/ early Q2 will be the most important ones

What do you mean RIP to N Hemisphere teams?

Their talking six to eight nations, they name the big 6 down here, Oz, NZ, Tonga, PNG, Samoa, Fiji  and two northern Hemisphere teams  if feasible. Probably two pools of four and a final, so about a month. Sounds good.

Would that be 2 'Northern' hemisphere teams being made up soley of Australian Nationals like Lebanon and Greece?

I`m assuming they mean England and France, it would be a lot easier to market if they were going to run it around the country.

Group 1:Australia,Tonga, PNG, France.              Group 2: NZ, England, Samoa, Fiji.

There are Uruguay and India teams made up entirely of Aussies now too, maybe they could also enter.

The Aussies talking about making a decision on the staging of the God that is SOO series in 21 soon after the finish of this year's event, it should be a given that it would revert to it's usual slot due to the World Cup but they seem to have doubts. Personally I can't see them wanting to travel unless things are squeaky clean for a number of months over here. If this year's SOO returns the regular viewing figures the club's will be all for it continuing post season, the World Cup doesn't bring them anything financially and a out of season SOO doesn't deprive them of player's in the middle of their comp.

Let's hope saner minds prevail.

My understanding is that a final decision is to be made in March 2021 but if you have already bought tickets and do not understand why you have not got seat numbers - This article may prove enlightening

Qld`s depth will be an issue end of season, if they get flogged it will very quickly revert to mid-season where they are likely to have more players available.

I have to admit though, Vlandy`s and co. are showing very little regard for International League certainly up your way. I wonder if they are a little disdainful about the state of the game up there and the gridlock that seems to hamper any progress. Having said that it`s easy to forget there would have been a Kangaroo tour happening about now.
