Saints clearly deserved to win. Backs much better than Cats.

Cats discipline (and skills) and unwarranted sense of injustice let them down once again.

Scarsbrooks miraculous recovery needs investigating. It won't be, though. It will be put down to a misunderstanding.  I just hope that he doesn't suffer after effects, short or long term through Saints fiddling the HIA

Or maybe the Sky presenter isn't a doctor.

Should have stopped counting at 2-0 up.

Its the voodoo score, how many times when a team is on top in attack and gets a penalty close to the line and goes for the soft option to kick a goal do they lose? It sends a message to the opposition that they are not confident of scoring with ball in hand.

How will anyone be able to tell?

More aged and surplus to NRL Antipodeans?

The only excuse to make for Calalans is that they have had a total disruptive season.  Probably under played if anything.  But their wits were poor.  Just not sharp enough and not clever enough.

Really pleased with tonight. That was our best performance in a long time. We knew about our good defence, but our attack has been clunky. Good to see us find a rhythm again.

Think we will benefit from Catalans style. Wigan will play in an equally aggressive style, but with far greater composure and probably on the right side of legality.

Two dominant performances over the last two nights. Both sides will go in confident next week. Really tough to call.

Catalan helped our attack with some howlers, Wigan won't be so generous.

For all the playoff experience Catalans have they were awful. A lot of that was down to Saints not allowing them to play as they controlled territory and possession for most of the game but Catalans didn’t help themselves as they were too fired up and their discipline issues came to the fore again as a result. All of Catalans key players were completely outplayed and Guasch must be tearing his hair out as after all the money they have spent on the players they have had over the years one Challenge Cup and two Challenge Cup final appearances is a very poor return.

Precident Harlequins RU.

I think that was faking an injury to enable a drop goal specialist to enter as a substitute.

I doubt any doctor would falsify a report that allowed a player with concussion back on the field.

The medical and legal implications if further injury occurred would be far too serious.

Terrible attitude towards the game by Catalans, and we see it time after time. I  am amazed how many admirers they have on here. And as for Maloney being a Marquee signing, they must have money to burn.

Yep, it was good to see the  team that came to play rugby win... Saints and Wigan are two well seasoned, tough and use to the hard grind, not sure why both Hull and Catalan in this case thought they could intimidate the opposition - both teams having played in many tough encounters.

Anyway I was glad that the teams that had the better ball skills, expected effective toughness in the tackle and football smarts and not thinking that its about big hits...

I thought it was an excellent game.

Tight and tense in the first half. Then some wonderful rugby from St Helens in the second half.

I thought Catalans made it extremely difficult and tough for St Helens. To come through a physical test like that was outstanding.

Coote as always added the extra to make or score the tries at the vital moments.

The referee had a great game I thought. The 2 sin bins he gave were both warranted, and perfect timing to prevent further head shots and injury.

Even the commentator just remarked at the same point. I recall your delusional ramblings from last night's Wigan thread. I can't wait until we batter you next week. Obviously no chance of a fair contest tonight

Think everyone is entitled to an opinion on a forum that's the point people may have the same opinion of you rambling on and didn't Kendall  favour Wigan last night?

So Liam Moore sorts a high tackle straight away with a sin bin.

And Chris Kendal reffed last night after failing to do anything like the previous week?

Unfortunately Liam didn't sort out high tackles straight away. He let Walmsley off early doors for a significantly dangerous head shot. A stupid oversight from the referee which obviously antagonised a highly motivated Catalans side.

Just gone through the Saints' twitter reporting from last night and can't find this.

Am I looking in the wrong place or.....

(Feel free to speculate!)

With Halloween coming up I decided to go to my local fancy dress shop to see if I could get a Dracula costume. After a few minutes the assistant handed me a Hull KR shirt asking "Is this suitable?", I replied "I think you may have misheard me, I said I wanted to look like a count."

Think it's appropriate to mention the odd incident that was conveniently omitted from the coverage of the Catalans stitch up.

The early doors dangerous head shot from Walmsley that never raised an eyebrow.

Continual disruption of the game from Saints, especially the immediately healing knee that Walmsley was up and down with all evening.

Amor having immunity from blatant offside situations.

Waving of head injury procedures if you're a man down regards tacklers.

Ignorance of repeat forward passes in fraudulent try scoring sequences.

Ignorance of obvious obstruction that blatantly benefited a try.

Both LMS & Lomax somehow escaping sin binning for brawling.

Non stop whinging in the referees ear for 80 minutes.

But other than these trivial little titbits St Helens played very well and I'm sure Sky will be thrilled they're getting the final they demanded.

🙂👍🏆

Feet off the ground as well as taking his head, he has to go here.

How can that be a penalty, he did that five times last week and none of them were penalised. 😁😁😁

Right call , Catalans got plenty of warning to get going and just messed around trying to waste time

What I would like to know is how did St Helens get the ball in the first place as Lomax through it straight in to touch.

As for the penalty for time wasting by the catalans, surely it's up to them if they're in place or not, the ref should just let the opposition play the ball and call the players offside if they get involved, like in general play,

As you can tell this incident annoyed me 😁

I can't understand how Maloney and Tomkins are playing. They're down 2 men, just complete your sets they'll crack eventually...

Not mentioning drink water he's invisible.

Not to mention Folau.

Be interesting to hear more on how LMS is back on.

When they checked they realised there was nothing between his ears anyway so it didn't matter.
