Micky McIlorum and Joel Tomkins at the RFL Disciplinary.

McIlorum :

Grade B high tackle 1 match penalty notice

Grade F Other contrary behaviour

Joel Tomkins :

Grade F Other contrary behaviour.

Interesting, looks like neither will be available for their SF clash with Saints. Mickey Mac Grade F, was that picking Dwyer up and dumping him after he smacked him across the chops?

From t'other thread

One game ban for McIlorum and 2 grade F charges for "other contrary behaviour" for him and Tomkins. That the video referee stepped in for neither is quite worrying, particularly the McIlorum incidents. The one game ban particularly questions the referees as it would arguably have not been in place should a card etc been shown and thus sufficient punishment dished out. Grade F charges carry a minimum 8 game suspension.

To put it into perspective, the bans they face would have put them out of two-thirds of the games Catalans have actually played this season. That neither were rebuked on the night is rather shocking.

Its unbelievable that an 8 game ban worthy incident (on top of a 1 game ban worthy incident) where there was a stoppage in play to review it by the ref, 2 Assistants and the video ref, and 3 prior penalties for high tackles recieved no punishment on the night.

Its genuinely shocking and thankfully didn't have worse repercussions for Dwyer.

The McIlorum grade f charge was for picking up Dwyer and dropping him after knowing he had hit him high. In his small brain he was trying to stop Dwyer playing for a penalty. It could have been an Adam Obrien scenario and such actions would have been much worse.

In any case, touching an injured player (that you have injured!) is beyond the pale.

Grade F for picking someone up? Seriously? That’s ridiculous.

So you didn't actually see the incident then?

This world was never meant for one as beautiful as me.

The video ref should get a Grade F for missing it . Absolutely inexplicable

When Thaler “missed” the Greenwood high tackle (yellow should have been red) he didn’t get an appointment the week after. I would expect Hicks to not be appointed as a VR this week as a minimum

Yep he should be dropped from SL for a while in my opinion. Unfortunately we don't have loads of refs to choose from so might not be possible.

Witch hunters in full cry.  Without referees we have no game.

You’ve still got to be held to account . Same down under .And we’re in the play offs so there’s enough refs to pick from for those . No way Hicks should figure again this season imo . Protocols , player welfare , discipline everything just went ignored by him

Tomkins’ ban shouldn’t be measured by matches.

I tend to agree. We are seeing some particularly unsavoury incidents at the moment that are pretty much sexual assault, and we should be coming down on it very, very hard.

But then we do things like make excuses for Makinson and reduce bans and we condone it.

Match Officials are held to account every single week

And in that statement you show so much ignorance

Match Officials are accountable every single week and appointments or non appointments reflect this and have done for years
