Cas and Wakey are completely separate places with completely separate identities. It's not hard to understand why sharing a stadium wouldn't work out.

Remember back that the beginning of the end for Bramley was moving into Headingley.

Sharing is more about location and ownership than the principle itself.

Wakefield would not share a stadium in Cas owned by Cas. 

Cas would not share a stadium outside cas  even if it was pretty much central between the two and owned by a district community trust. 

The two clubs couldn't share. Leigh's is the only ground I can think of that received council support despite being the "second facility" however.

If Wakefield MDC had invested in Belle Vue 20/25 years ago, they could be investing in Wheldon road now or for the past 5/10 years or vice versa. That they haven't done either has left both clubs with embarrassing sub par facilities that eventually will be crippling the clubs.

Granted it took Scarborough FC collapsing to do so - which is not usual in any respect.

Since 1985 Featherstone also built the other two Stands and a Clubhouse with Hospitality facilities and Dressing Rooms. So plenty had been done since they acquired the other two Stands from Scarborough FC. The blue and white seats in the two Scarborough Stands used to be in the East Stand at Elland Road, they became available when LUFC built the East Stand hospitality boxes. They couldn't use the seats from Scarborough as they were red.

Once again , no actual money from Wigan council , originally the land was earmarked for the Ski facility that went to Glasshoughton , but eventually decided the location wasn't right ( correct decision )

No, but council support - which up until recently has not been forthcoming from WMDC.

Glasshoughton would be fine.

Its all relative isn't it, and Fev's ground is nice and tidy like Batley's for example.

Again, they have done well, but that comes from a clear focus over all that time: "How can we improve our stadium with buggerall money?"

Cas & Wakey were asking different questions. 

Also, up to 1995, Fev were a relatively successful club. They were unlucky to be cut out. Wakefield had actually surrendered at that point and agreed to the Calder merger.

   As a previous poster said Batley is a cracking ground that has been improved over the years.Dewsbury is also developing into a good ground despite the cramped playing area.Once the bottom end terracing is done it will be a credit to the Championship.

They were the lowest placed English team in the league, and were thus relegated.
