Return of fans to outdoor sporting events

Have to say this is very welcome news. On top of the positive news on vaccines, the thought of getting fans back in grounds is the best news yet. A maximum of 4,000 fans will be allowed at events in the lowest risk areas when England’s lock down ends on 2 December with up to 2,000 in tier two but none in tier three. COVID rates in York are falling. Our season start is still some way off but as far as I see it it’s clear what we need to do - Keep the COVID rate in York in tier 1!

Hopefully City can get some games in at the new stadium, get any teething troubles sorted and the Covid vaccine be in full effect before we start the league season v Leeds Rhinos in front of a full house in March.

Excellent news indeed. The excitement is already beginning to build! Will it be Championship champions or a fifth place finish in Super League I wonder?
