Lads whom could of and should of become stalwarts with legendary status.

Kevin king stanley goal kicking centre.

Stephen Jones left for union which he preferred. Great kicker and played halfback with jay Duffy.

James archibald. Local ex rhinos academy back rower. Naturally aggressive competitor. Gt chose danny samuels instead. Error

Luke menzies/ Jack walker.. I jest

'Shaw cross juniors, Birkenshaw, Mirfield, Heckmondwike Panthers, Stainland Stags and then the Heavy woolen donkeys... WARDY, STOZZA, GT, KARL OR KEAR MUST OF DROPPED A DIGIT FROM MY MOBILE NUMBER! :clapping:

Paul Kay the young scrum half we signed fron Nottingham City the season before Glen Tomlinson came over...allegedly for quite a bit of money....

He scored 2 trys in his debut and showed great promise but just faded away into Glen's shadow... Shame.

Think he played a few seasons at Swinton Lions.

Ha! Saw him score 4 or 5 in one game at the Mount and then he just sort of disappeared

I heard rumours about Feehan stealing things out of the dressing room, although I've no idea whether there was any truth to them though.

Another for my list would be Stuart Cocker. I remember him scoring one of the best individual tries I've ever seen from a Batley player, against Bramley away.

Was he a winger. Vaguely remember folk shouting "joe". As a kid I was bamboozled

Yes he was predominantly, although he could play centre, and I think he played the odd game at fb too, I think.

His try scoring rate was phenomenal throughout his career.

He had blistering pace, a good step and he was a clever footballer.

I wish there was a video of that try at Bramley, it could be my mind playing tricks after all these years. As I remember it, he fielded a kick under our posts and ran straight up the middle beating several men before going the length of the field to score.

Dane Morgan imagine if he'd of stayed another season I think we'd of finished higher in the league we missed a prop at the start of the 2006 season...

Shad - shame he went travelling via the house of pain

Michael Wainwright another one who could who went on to bigger and better things via castleford

Stuart Cocker was class, lightening quick.  I know the Hobson era screwed the club but I liked The South Africans Shaun Skelton and Andy Ballott. Dave Turpin was good for a season, Dane Morgan was great too. I liked Mike Kuiti but wacat the tail end of his career.
