Looks like 3 straight victories with a huge points difference racked up in our favour going in well warmed up for a 1st  game v a playoff spot rival, Toulouse.

Shame no Newcastle away. Hopefully away crowds will be allowed to travel to the new York stadium, although doubtful cos its early?!?

Against Batley and Swinton last year we were one score up with 15 minutes to go. We barely scraped past League 1 Barrow in the Challenge Cup with a late try. I like our chances this year, but surely years of following Fev in this division have taught us not to take anything for granted against the "less fashionable" teams?

After the long lay off and the amount of new players that need to get to know each other and the difference in rules from when we last played. It will be difficult to assess how good we will start. Apart from London away in 2020 we stumbled and stuttered though we remained unbeaten at the cut off point. In 2019 we were handed out lessons by Barrow and Dewsbury who perhaps exceeded their own fans expectations. There are no gimmes except perhaps Halifax away. Just kidding Ainley Top😂. Nowt wrong in having confidence though Smudger in a very talented squad. Can't wait for it to start.

Which team had a coach that thought they were the best in the division "by a country mile"? 😉

I remember about 5 years ago Derek Beaumont predicted Leigh would go through the season unbeaten, their first game was against Batley and his prediction lasted 80 minutes 😂

Our pre season under John Bastian as coach had us all ready for a great season.Once we started playing we underachieved and the style of play was dire. Then it was adios Bastian.

yep, I remember going to Dewsbury in week 1 that year after we had beaten various SL teams in pre-season (think we put 50 past Hull FC). Dews barely got into our half in the first half yet beat us with a late Anthony Thackeray drop goal.

At the time we were. Unfortunately the coach wasn't. 😉

You were until Barrow signed Jamie Rooney & Andy Ellis to name a few, courtesy of Uncle Des.

Don't forget Rochdale at home a few years ago. Don't go making predictions to be shot down. Let the team just get on with it.
