Wilderspoolmemories
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but Peter Clarke of Rochdale Hornets, Blackpool Borough and Bramley in the 1970's has passed away. He was signed by Rochdale from Latchford Albion in Warrington in 1969. After retiring as a player he coached teams in Warrington and was my coach for a while when I was a young amateur player. He was a great man and we would still chat many years later when we bumped into each other. He was a family man too, condolences to his family and friends. RIP Peter, a great man. 2009 Warrington 25 Hudderfield 16 2010 Warrington 30 Leeds 6 2011 League Leaders Shield Winners 2012 Warrington 35 Leeds 18 Challenge cups and league leaders shields everywhere! Pedro
Great hooker. In his Rochdale days he always seemed to get us more than our fair share of ball from the scrum. That was in the days when scrums were contested of course. RIP and thanks for happy memories watching you play.
clifford
He was a coach at Trafford Borough, and we were playing Carlisle away, so we stopped at a local park outside Carlisle, so we could run through the pattern of play. Well the club didn't put any rugby balls on the coach, so Peter pulled out a pair of socks from the kit bag. So 13 blokes played rugby with a pair of socks. Great memories
