I thought it was impressive, not least outlining the vision whilst acknowledging the uncertainties of the present situation. I was particularly taken with the plan to run two teams, one in the RFL, the other in the NARL. This was presented as a definite, not a possibility, with the NARL team being the feeder, at least for the foreseeable future.

NARL and CCCRL are two almost opposite business models. Back one of them and get on board. Show us your cards. 

I have a feeling most will just watch and claim they knew which one would succeed or fail.

I hope the both succeed. But why do I need to bet on one like it is a horse race? Like I say, both only appeared a month ago, so it is not like there is a clear "leader" at this point.

The AMNRL was the recognised body for over a decade. Teams split away from the AMNRL to form the USARL.

It looks like it's a bit of an olive branch from the USARL.  They state that the NARL's efforts are admirable and encouraged, and that they hope they can work together in the future, whilst also exerting a bit of power.  

There are no threats or attacks to either the NARL or to any players who maybe thinking of taking part in the competition.

Absolutely - I almost certainly wouldn't have been good enough as a player, but definitely would've rocked up for the tryouts if I lived on the West Cost in my 20s before family/job etc. Accommodation paid for plus a bonus $5k-10k (even more if you're one of the top players) for a season that looks like May through til August/September sounds like a great summer. Even if you didn't make much money, would still be an awesome experience.

Money talks I suppose. If the NARL are offering money and pro deals players will go there and the USARL will have to accept them. Both comps could exist together, USARL could become a feeder comp if the NARL took off

I read it like that too. Their nose is a little out of joint at not being consulted but they probably recognise this as the biggest opportunity the sport in the country is likely to get. I think they're being fairly magnanimous in registering their disappointment whilst sending out the message that they're willing to work with them.
