Maybe! On the other hand, it could be career death for an aspiring international/NRL player due to the lower standard of play....

Tend to think we'll see the 'one last pay day' types going to NARL.

Yeah because the MLS is doing so badly because it’s a one last payday league. Or maybe it’s driving growth in American ‘soccer’, creating a sustainable league and attracting thousands of fans every week

Yes, it’s a great model to follow. But the point stands. The best players don’t play in the MLS, and they won’t in the NARL.

USARL statement

If you’re going to set up a new competition in a sport, surely you’d contact the governing body of said sport to see what was required, whether you think they’re competent or not? It just adds fuel to the fire of the scepticism of all of this.

There have been some great players going over there tbf - Zlatan, David Villa, Darren Huckerby.

The best players don't play in Super League either.

He's not a Rugby League or Super League fan Pulga, he's just a shi t stirrer. A kent.

Like I said weeks ago, Super League may become an irrelevance soon.

What they do (Super League) over the next 10 years will either keep them in Tier One, or see them slip below the line.

If they do (sink), and the yanks overtake us then whether Super League prospers or not will be irrelevant because it'll be all about the America's (the new world Super League) and we'll become second rate like the England Soccer team.

Time and tide waits for no man.

The Rugby League world's tide is rising with or without us.

This would have to be the boldest prediction of all time.

You've basically said: I predict they will either succeed or fail.

If the NARL gets to a stage where it can afford to give foreign players a "one last pay day" it's a huge success.

We’re already seeing it, chief. See above. Just on a commensurately modest scale.

But yes, if a Sonny Bill type sees out his playing days at Boston Thirteens or whoever, that would be huge. I hope it happens!

What are all the flatcappers going to say if this thing becomes a GO over here....???????

Ohhh.....the pain!

No pain here Kayakman, it's great to see the game grow further - not shrinking a fighting for every crumb like it is in the UK.

Someone put them in touch with Warrington, they might be up for sending Inglis. 😂

He does not comprehend that the quality of soccer here is actually quite high.

Hey English RL was offered a seat in the kayak with the Wolfpack but they clearly turned it down....now the kayak has left the shore bound for new and exciting destinations....a light following sea with a nice tradewind is at our backs....a large error was made by Elstone and his brainwashed, shortsighted cronies.

It is a sad state of affairs and was quite a shocker for me and the other NA fans to discover....this scrambling for the crumbs when there is an big pie right infront of them if they would only have looked....C'est la vie mes ami!
