I saw this yesterday too. It was rumoured for that long it just didn't seem like a shock when it was confirmed!

I don't know if Wood is the man to get Bradford back to where they belong but I wish him every luck and hope he does build Bradford up again.

Well he did a great job at Fax and the RFL

Have I missed a topic on Bradford Bulls and Nigel Woods following the announcement on Friday as chairman of Bradford Bulls?

Pretty big story.

I did see it but had nothing really to say beyond a long weary sigh.

As I've said elsewhere about other things, but it holds here as well, one of the biggest issues we, as a game, face, is that our pool of people as administrators, owners, players, funders and fans is already small and seems to be diminishing.

Not a surprise though. The Bulls really need someone transparent and open at the helm. Some money needs to be spent there, especially on the stadium which is holding them back

Exactly. His priority must sure be getting the Bulls back to Odsal, but at the same time he's needs to get some funding for it.

It was my understanding, rightly or wrongly that some funding had been agreed with the EU before we voted to leave it so that funding went by the by

For fans of Oval Racing, Rugby and Speedway to help offset the cost of re-painting the iconic Odsal Stadium Bradford, prior to its Grand Re-Opening in 2021.

This fundraiser is to help with the cost of paint and other materials needed to help bring the Stadium back to life. We have the Volunteers, we now need the materials.

Odsal is the North's most Iconic Stadium for Stockcar Racing, Rugby League and Speedway. With help from the fans and supporters of all sports it is our aim to make it the Wembley of the North.

A massive investment has been made by Startrax Oval Motorsport Limited in installing a new fence and re-laying a shale track so racing can return. Unfortunatly the rest of the stadium is looking a little tired and we want it to sparkle when COVID restrictions are lifted and the stadium can return to hosting Stockcars and Rugby along with many other types of events.

The re-opening of Odsal will be a massive boost to the local economy and community.

Lets make the Old Girl shine once again and be made to feel proud that we have all contributed.

The game does need a debt free Bradford Bulls playing back in Bradford playing in front of big crowds. The game and the club needs them disaffected fans back.

Do elaborate, please.

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.

Has anybody agreed to promote speedway at Odsal yet?

Last time Odsal staged speedway, in 1998, when Bradford won the Premier League, the crowds were very poor (as low as 500, IIRC).

Who spent the £200k? Do Speedway pay rent to the RFL or Bradford?

Anybody know what the £200k has been spent on? Doesn't look that much different to me...

I would imagine that it’s mostly getting the track up to standard.
