Has to be a points deduction and a large fine for me, This week and probably next weeks game to be called off.

How could they be so stupid?

Nothing like going OTT with your remarks.

The club will probably be fined heavily and quite rightly too.

A game is likely to be called off due to Featherstone breaching the rules, why should the game be rescheduled. Batley should be given the 2 points and Featherstone deducted the same.

The article mentions training being cancelled and Friday's fixture at risk - if the club have not followed usual protocols surrounding covid, there is an extra risk of transmission - the RFL wont want to put their opposition into that position

Essentially they have broken the law and in doing so puts the competition at risk so there should be bans, points deductions and the whole book thrown at them.

May end up costing them promotion to the Super League this......

Its not OTT in the slightest, its a stupid thing to have done and Fev deserve the punishment.

This was very stupid and I see a hefty fine coming their way.

Having said that, when I read they'd been seen in a bar after the game I assumed they'd all gone out drinking at a local pub. It's worth noting that the article just says some of the team were seen in the bar in the ground, which is in the same building as the changing rooms.

Obviously any breach of Covid protocol is going to rightly bring sanctions but I imagine there'll be a harsher punishment if they were having a full blown knees up rather than just some players gathering to have a chat in the wrong room.

The competition and financial health of clubs, especially in the Championship is dependant on COVID related government funding, the fear is that if the RFL don't come down hard on them it could put that at risk. Featherstone should be made an example of

I think the issue may be whether the club facilitated the breaching of covid rules. If found to have done so, the sanctions might be very serious indeed.

If, as your first thoughts were, the players had left the ground and socialised in a non-covid secure way, then that would have been down to the players and not the club. Unfortunately, at the moment, it seems to have not been the case.

Is Gill's departure linked to this?

Shouldn't you wait for the findings of the Investigation before you call for point deductions and large fines. The RFL I am sure will deal with it in the correct way.

Don't be silly, Hanging's too good for them! This is Britain in 2021 where justice and fair hearings have nothing to do with the law!

Thank you. Breaking the law and risking people's health, the RFL should act tough on this. Fev should get a points deduction in my eyes.
