Yes that will be the case. Halifax now within touching distance of 2nd (Assuming Toulouse manage 70% of their games and stay top)

Toulouse only need to complete 13 games now I think. It has been discussed before as it is not them postponing home games.

I think they got off lightly tbh. When you consider the context and the lack of cooperation. Other clubs were working their backsides off to make sure they had a biosecure environment while a club is holding illegal gatherings and not only that senior officials at the club and players were involved. Pretty shameful

May cost them in the long run. Credibility of being a SL club has been dented

Credibility.

1977 Champions
1967, 1973, 1983 Challenge Cup Winners
2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 Championship League Leaders.

Super League formation; thrown out of top flight when mid table to make way for SL giants of the game Paris & London.

This season speaks for itself, last season undefeated, last proper season 2019 playoffs, Leigh away, victory, York away, victory, Toulouse away, victory, Toronto away, fell but in the last 20 minutes....

They own those bars in that Clubhouse, and several other bars around the ground, the ground they own that includes its Club Shop and 8k capacity, mostly under cover from weather and seated. Also on owned land that adjoins the stadium, seperate outside and indoor training facilities + several acres of unused land which has new housing and brand new streets built around it. A club that gets between 2k and 4k of its own fans to its home games consistently for the last 25 yrs. In tier 2.......

Takes between 500 and 900 of its own fans to every away game, no matter where in the world these games are, Catalans, Toulouse, Toronto, London, even Valencia for a friendly......

Featherstone High School - amongst precious few that play Rugby League

Featherstone Lions - one of the best amateur Clubs about, adult and full Juniors....

There's credibility and then there's credibility.

& then theres envy........

All we want is a crack at Super League, justice would then be done.

We were unfairly excluded at the start, then out of 25+ years, more than half the time it's been a closed shop for one reason or another and so have been denied again and again.....

Once we have the crack we will probably quietly disappear like many many fans over the last couple of decades, make way for the big clubs, Newcastle, York, London, Toulouse, that will surely save the game. Probably why we never get a crack because that sense of injustice is what drives us.....once that desire to right wrongs has gone we might fade away like the rest in this very ill sport of ours.

I'm sure you enjoyed writing all of this but the findings were Featherstone lied and concealed evidence in this situation to the sports governing body and were found guilty. They may well have lied to the council too.

This is today's findings and it is a knock to the club's credibility. A great club at that with a long history. They were pretty lucky to get away with the penalty they did. Had they been in SL the fine would probably have been in the £50k+ region and points deduction much higher.

Its 13 pages of Fev bashing basically, I'll put my 2p in, cheers.

All that’s lovely but doesn’t excuse the disgraceful acts they’ve carried out and have still got off lightly.

Batley lost the league game by 8 points the following Friday, which Fev should have played without 12 of the players who took part in it.

Had the CCTV footage obtained by the police afterwards been made available at the time, the game would not have gone ahead.

Could you even have raised a side, never mind won it?

What gave Fev the right to put another club's players at risk of catching it?

I don't know how you have the cheek to think you have been hard done by!

Also, do Batley get to adjust their number of losses in the league table to reflect that Featherstone have had their points annulled? Percentages of win/loss appear to be important this season. Not asking for Batley to be awarded the points but the least they should be given in the circumstances is for the defeat to be deleted from the records too!

Bashing which it turns out is fully vindicated. None of Fev`s great history takes anything away from this disgraceful recent action.

This may be the saddest post ever written on this website.

Why?

Don't you find it even a little bit sad that a club which was one of the strongest in the game and a byword for the qualities that made RL great is now breaking the law, cheating, lying and potentially putting people's lives and jobs at risk?
