Featherstone investigation

I don't doubt that the club haven't been amazingly cooperative throughout the process, which is why the 10k is probably fair. It's a sizable sum for a PT club. The fact anti-fev people think it's not enough and Fev diehards think it's unfair and corrupt, tells me its in the right ballpark.

Spot on.

Des Johnson at Barrow was banned from the game for 8 years in 2011 and Barrow were deducted 29 points and relegated to League 1, for essentially breaking the salary cap.

Campbell put people's lives at risk, obstructed an investigation, publicly lied to play the investigation down and knowingly fielded 12 ineligible players in the next league game.

Somehow, Fev are the victims of a conspiracy? ....More like beneficiaries!

34 players had been knocking 7 bells out of one another for 80 minutes. And your drama queen comments about Campbell putting lives at risk, are laughable. If and it's a big if the RFL knew Featherstone had 12 players with covid. Then they are as culpable as Featherstone for allowing the game to go ahead. Conspiracy , no there's no conspiracy at all. What punishment has Steve Price got for broadcasting his voice on Sky. That's been deemed against all the game stands for. £3,000 fine £2,000 suspended for 12 month. Not bad seeing as he leaves his job and the country in about 2 months.

You can argue the logic of the rules however you like. Transmission from team to team is extremely rare if not nonexistent, intra team transmission is very common by comparison.

I said at the start of this thread that the really stupid thing here, above breaking the rules and law, was being caught.

Once you've finished debating the merits of the rules, the basic point still remains that they have broken the existing rules and risked compromising themselves, their colleagues (including outside Fev for the part timers), and their competitors. They were in a privilidged position being able to see their mates anyway. So I'm certain a conciliatory approach has been taken with the authorities with Fev doing their utmost to appease them and reduce the punishments.

There are conspiracies everywhere 😀

Mind you if only Featherstone had either prevented the incident from occurring in the first place or maybe not lying, both options within their full control, then there would have been no cause to fine them or deduct points

Where have I actually said that Featherstone didn't deserve their punishment. All my posts have indicated is, in the majority the posters have shown their hand and true colours.  I'll just keep throwing some bait and see who bites. With this thread a lot of you. 🤣

The 12 players in the bar were not alone, there were 20 odd people in there according to the article. Had all of them been tested prior to breaking the law?

Over 130k deaths in the UK alone, is laughable to you? How do you think they contracted the disease? A dodgy pie or pint perhaps.

Various posts containing low grade personal insults removed, along with several of those responding or quoting, because it's just too tedious as a moderator having to fillet this garbage out, to be honest.

Knock it on the head.

If you can't make a point without flinging an insult, find another forum to post on.

Otherwise, there will be a few suspensions getting dished out without any further warning.

Credibility.

1977 Champions
1967, 1973, 1983 Challenge Cup Winners
2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 Championship League Leaders.

Super League formation; thrown out of top flight when mid table to make way for SL giants of the game Paris & London.

This season speaks for itself, last season undefeated, last proper season 2019 playoffs, Leigh away, victory, York away, victory, Toulouse away, victory, Toronto away, fell but in the last 20 minutes....

They own those bars in that Clubhouse, and several other bars around the ground, the ground they own that includes its Club Shop and 8k capacity, mostly under cover from weather and seated. Also on owned land that adjoins the stadium, seperate outside and indoor training facilities + several acres of unused land which has new housing and brand new streets built around it. A club that gets between 2k and 4k of its own fans to its home games consistently for the last 25 yrs. In tier 2.......

Takes between 500 and 900 of its own fans to every away game, no matter where in the world these games are, Catalans, Toulouse, Toronto, London, even Valencia for a friendly......

Featherstone High School - amongst precious few that play Rugby League

Featherstone Lions - one of the best amateur Clubs about, adult and full Juniors....

There's credibility and then there's credibility.

& then theres envy........

All we want is a crack at Super League, justice would then be done.

We were unfairly excluded at the start, then out of 25+ years, more than half the time it's been a closed shop for one reason or another and so have been denied again and again.....

Once we have the crack we will probably quietly disappear like many many fans over the last couple of decades, make way for the big clubs, Newcastle, York, London, Toulouse, that will surely save the game. Probably why we never get a crack because that sense of injustice is what drives us.....once that desire to right wrongs has gone we might fade away like the rest in this very ill sport of ours.

500 to 900 hundred away fans, isn’t that the same as they get at home ?.

Some of the Fev fans think they’re the millwall of RL. I don’t know if the people working at the club have that same attitude.

You certainly are the comedian arn't you lol.

I really don't care if you like me or not.

You've read enough of the sheeite I've posted on here over the last twenty years to know this is correct.

However, you also know where i sit politically.... I doubt you are much different

No. You've just made bad decisions in life about what team to support.
