So how long was it in all?

Edit: MZH made me look daft.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

I'm pretty sure I've never seen the like of this. Very tough on Hull KR.

99 minutes apparently.

An appropriate timing for the day Prince Philip checked out on the same score. :kolobok_wink:

could be some sort of record? stattos?

In this country maybe.

The 1997 SL Tri Nations final between NSW and Queensland was won 23-22 with a Noel Goldthorpe drop-goal after 103 minutes & 47 seconds.

Apparently this was the longest ever game of RL

"The recent Group 21 Grand Final in New South Wales, Australia, was probably not a game which caught the eye of anyone who was not local.

But it soon turned into an historical and remarkable encounter, after it ended in a draw after 80 minutes.

In the end, Denman beat Scone 24-20, but that only came after an incredible 48 minutes of extra time, making it the longest game of rugby league ever played"

Poor performance from Cas and didnt deserve to win in all honesty.

Fortunately we have Paul Mcshane.....extroadanary performance from him.  Played every long bloody minute, ridiculous work rate, Cas main threat.  2 tries, created the Turner try in the last second.

What summed him up for me though was his work for the last KR drop goal attempt.  He made the tackle on the forward for the set up play and you could see him looking for Abdull he was completing the tackle.  Quick from marker hunted Abdull and prevented the attempt after about 100 minutes of rugby..

McShane is carrying on from his MOS campaign last year.

Great effort. I rate him, Daryl Clark & James Roby as better than NRL-hyped Josh Hodgson.

Not seen enough of Hodgson st club level, he hasnt cut it in the internationals I've seen him play in.

I rate Mcshane higher than Clark having watched them both a fair bit to be honest.  Roby is simply class but obviously 35.

Mcshane should be given a shot for England imo.

Josh Hodgson works very well for Ricky Stuart's style of play at the Raiders. It hasn't translated into anything that fits England yet

But with Bateman, Williams, Sutton and Whitehead as possible international team-mates, it could click in future. I don't know, though; there's all the other SL-based players to work with too.

Brilliant game and not for the first time no reward for an outstanding display from Hull Kingston Rovers.

Thanks to the Castleford fan club for providing commentary. 'It was a heck of a game but we won in the end'.

I know we don't often see eye to eye, such is the nature of the rivalry in Hull, but I have to take you up on the "Brilliant game" description. Sure, it was an exciting game as right up to the end, either team could have won, but there were far too many errors and sloppy defending for it to be described in the manner you did.

There was some quality on show certainly, SKD always impresses me and Abdul is just a natural footballer. For Cas, Trueman played his usual significant role and McShane was absolutely outstanding, almost beating Rovers on his own in the GP periods.

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but I'm a big fan of the GP. Whether or not this is due to my lot having Marc Sneyd in our ranks I'm not sure but I think it's a gripping finale to a match and I couldn't take my eyes off it.

I rather fancy my enthusiasm for it may well diminish somewhat if your faves ever beat us via GP in a Derby though.

Hodgson was fantastic at Hull KR and maybe even better at Canberra. He's not managed to carry it over to international level though which is a shame. Think McShane deserves a chance 🙂
