Not many sports provide so many talking points and excitement in one game. It might not have been the highest standard but it was entertaining and any none RL fans watching would have probably enjoyed it

Absolutely, I even enjoyed being outraged at some of the decisions 😂

Class act Tony Smith. Rather than talk about any referee decisions he focuses on what his own team didn’t do.

I agree, but to be honest I think someone needs to call tonight’s decisions out - but like you say better done in a letter or behind closed doors

Apparently this site says I "won the day" here on 23rd Jan, 19th Jan, 9th Jan also 13th December, whatever any of that means. Anyway, 4 times in a few weeks? The forum must be going to the dogs - you people need to seriously up your game. Where's Dutoni when you need him?

Just after today? worse referee in the the super league era

In all fairness I have seen him have some good games. But he has been totally biased when he has reffed wakey and hudds in 2 games in the past that I remember.

Ok sacking will not happen, but he should never be near an hudds game again. 2 shocking decisions tonight,

I know refs are human, get it wrong in the heat of the battle. But a video ref has time, and several cameras, what he did tonight is inexcusable

Entertaining game... may be they should have a new rule where players have their bootlaces tied together.

It was talking points galore which is fantastic.

Loved the Jim Bowen “have a look at what you would have won” comment from Carney in response to Jenna Brooks telling Gaskell he woulda won MOTM had they won.

You should have said “you would have been MOM if you weren’t a cheating winker”

When it's not facing your own line and goes backwards?

I must admit I'd be unhappy if it was against my team, but in terms of the laws it's the correct decision

So if its the correct decision why would you be unhappy?

For me its one of those that if at the other end of the field say after a kick on the fifth and the defender did that it would be play on.

So many double movements also getting out of the ingoal where if it was an attacker it would be a penalty.

The worst decision of the match was the tackle in the air on hall.. what a joke

Including the blatant last minute ball strip that wasn't given under the posts to win the game for Huddersfield?

Some poor decisions for both teams.

Not as bad as the tackle in the air when both players had both hands on the ball and no tackle had been made

The next SL fixture is 5pm tomorrow, when whoever referees that will be dubbed the worst referee ever. Then we'll have to wait 'til 3pm on Sunday to transfer the title.

Some decisions against each team that they didn't like is more accurate.

Really enjoyed that match. Hull KR might gain some confidence by holding on to win, another loss after a big lead would have been hard to take.

I don't like to criticise officials, but Kendall made some poor calls, the HKR no try especially.

We need to be very careful because we will encourage players to dive when feeling slight contact at a kick.

Right so, not sure where to begin with this, so well done to rovers, I'd say they deserved it, they were the better team for the most part, we played for 20 minutes and showed what we can do, rovers were well up for it in the first half and we just didn't compete at all, we gave ourselves some hope with Jerry's try.

Gaskell changed the game and absolutely ran the show for those 20 minutes, he was class with ball in hand, however, his defensive duties were less than pretty, we all saw his dramatic fall ( I call stuff like that out for everyone, it was pathetic, and we shouldn't have been rewarded, even though there was slight interference), we got away with that one, we also got away with the one where he tackled in the air both those decisions I felt should have gone Hull Kr's way, but Gaskell's efforts in those incidents were flipping poor!

The McQueen try, I didn't think was a try until seeing the replay, and it was the correct decision, as I said I can see why people are upset over it, but it was the correct decision, if that happens in his own '20, no one's bats an eyelid, if your own team does that on halfway and it's given as a knock on, the majority would be up in arms about it, you'd all be on here slaughtering the referee.

We got lucky, and Rovers did too, the ball strip at the end would have won us the game, but those are given for and against every team every game, every week, I'm not going to bemoan it, we didn't deserve to win and if you take into account the 2 incidents with Gaskell then a rovers win is a fair outcome, the first try should also have been disallowed for a push.

As for us, we need to fix up our attitude and stop believing the hype, the hype that we created initially and knuckle down and win some games!

I'd be unhappy because it was against my team and I'd feel it was harsh, even though it's right.

That was a shocking decision.

He completely "bottled it" and gave a knock on as oppposed to the penalty, which would have decided the game.

I accept the referee has to be sure when doing this. But in this case it was the Hull KR player who affected the game so that a decision had to be given. As there were 2 players in the tackle it could only be a penalty.

I thought Hull KR were hard done by with their disallowed try. I think that was the video referee's call.

Whichever side lost had reason to feel disappointed.

Well it's games like that that get people talking about the sport, it's also games like that that get fans of the teams involved having heart palpitations!!.

We nearly won that game but certainly did not deserve to, that 1st half was appaling and we seemed to have 13 individuals who just wanted to amble 10 yards forward and have a rest, indeed 3 of them decided to have a rest after 3 seconds, although by the rules that one should have been disallowed too.

A better side than KR, who played very well in the 1st half, would have crucified us. I hadn't even realised Cogger was still on as i thought Gaskell had replaced him, Gaskell was very good in attack when he was on and we showed how good we can be in attack when we let our attackers attack rather than 5 drives and a (poor) kick but that dive was embarrasing, i'd rather my team concede and lose games than see that creeping into our game, he should be ashamed of that, yes there was contact but come on Lee !!.

Some of the decisions were bordering on ridiculous, including the McQueen one where we benefitted hugely from, yes technically the ball went back but anywhere else on the pitch and that is a knock on with no checking, the Linett no try was the most obvious non penalty of the night but was let go when Jerry's legal challenge on Hall was deemed illegal.

0 from 3 from us after everyone has bigged us up - including our own staff and fans is not looking good, i am hugely disappointed with our defence as Watson always seemed to have a super defence as a basis, and frustrated with our attack as we have some superb attacking threats but seem insistent on playing a 'trundling up the middle' game which, to me, offers nothing.

The pressure is going to be on Watto soon if results don't start to change, although not from me as i always believe coaches need a good amount of time, but upto now nothing seems to have changed despite the big money spent.

Great entertainment for the viewers though.
