I'm looking forward to Batley v Newcastle, two teams who have had good starts.

Sheffield v London will be interesting as well after London's disappointing start, and Sheffield's incredible start until they lost to Newcastle.

I suspected at the start of the season that Toulouse and Fev will finish as the top two teams with Toulouse probably going up but the rest of the league is looking wide open so far. This could be a good year for some unlikely play off pushes.

Should be an easy win for Fax, Im expecting Sheffield to beat London for the Saturday games. York with a close win against Dewsbury, Batley to comfortably beat Newcastle, Haven V Bulls will be hard to call and wouldn't be surprised if Haven edge it and the same goes for Widnes V Swinton would not be surprised if Swinton win this one.

Oldham will surprise a few this season if they can get their players fit.

Wow, Oldham beat Halifax. Lots of personnel changes at Fax this season but doesn't seem to have worked so far. They let in some very soft tries against Toulouse last week, they are really struggling right now.

Huge win over London, lost by a point away to Bradford, were better than Toulouse for the final 30 minute last week. Let's give Oldham some credit for a very good win.

Should have said fair play to Oldham, who have struggled with injuries. They seem up and down like many teams in the division, a couple of times when I've watched them they've looked desperately weak in defence but they've now won two Championship games.

Yes I was already in the middle of acknowledging that, see the above post.

But are you seriously suggesting that Halifax's start to the season hasn't been a massive disappointment? The London team they beat was out of form and riddled with injuries to their better players, they let slip a strong position against Bradford, and against Toulouse the game was all over by half time because of some of the weakest goal-line defence I have seen from Fax team in a long time.

Half-time 12-8 Sheffield - Not the worst London performance of recent times with a lot of possession  but then a lot of one-out rugby down near the Sheffield line, Sheffield defending well thenscoring first down the right side in a break away 6-0. London finally got Jarrod Sammut involved and brought the deficit down to 6-4. Sheffield then having much the better of the remainder of the hal, one clean break down the right side pulled back for a forward pass, before another well worked score 12-4. A lot of Sheffield pressure on the London line and I felt 16-4 might have been a killer, but Abbas Miski scored an interception try to 12-8. No further scoring if you looked at the stats London having the majority of posession but Sheffield proving its not how long you have the ball but what you do with it.

Danny Ward needs to be giving the Broncos a coating this half time about the ease at which Sheffield have been able to "mine the seam" up the middle. If the Eagles lose this they will look back at the last 20 mins of the first half for not putting London away.
