Another hard game to test us, think Fevs everyone's favourites to get promotion, can we put a dent in there ambitions?, looks like we could have one or two players back from injury to give us a boost, should be a great game pity we can't be there in person, remember it's  another evening kick off.

This is a huge game in a number of ways. First of all it’s our ‘local rivals’ Fev. Secondly we need to show we can compete with a club that’s most peoples tip to be in the top 2 at the end of the season along with Toulouse.

Thirdly, and hopefully this doesn’t sound negative but we have to be looking at our home record at the new stadium and make it a difficult place to get a result - ok, Hull FC (friendly), Toulouse, Wigan and Sheffield aren’t the easiest of opening home matches but lose to Fev and suddenly that’s played 5 lost 5 at the new stadium and there might be a few murmurings of not settling yet at the new ground. With City out of the equation till their season starts it would be nice to be the first York team to win at the LNER too.

Should be an intense game. From the Fev games I’ve seen they score a lot but also concede a few too. Too close to call. I imagine the bookies will give York 4 or 6 start.

League and cup games this season;

Fev are averaging 29 points scored and 22 conceded each match

York average 22 points scored and 15 conceded.

This will be close.....

And in league games it's approx....Fev..37-13 and York 28-19. But I agree it will be a tough game but I think recent statistics might not be relevant. Wish we could be there😩

Think we will edge it in the forwards , they have brown and Holmes forming a very strong partnership at halfback ( chizzy seems out of favour) not much between the backs , good contest ahead , knights by 6 😀😀😀

Think we will edge it in the forwards Interesting suggestion  but just to let you know  john davies a player who many on this forum would like at YORK is not in the regular starting 17 and when he's come in because of injury only starts on the bench having said that watch webbo make me look a complete idiot and start him on sunday🤣🤣🤣

knights by 6 Just to let you know this season against all championship opposition FEV have scored at least six tries so for YORK to win by six points  you may  have to score seven what a crackling match  were going to watch YORK 42 FEV 36  I can't wait 😀

Well, he'll be the best ref in the game on Sunday, Si. I'll give you that ! 😀

Actually I'm not sure I believe that as Warren Turley is on the line......😄

Error count will be absolutely crucial on Sunday and both sides have been prone to a few this season.

Fev have shrugged it off by simply outscoring opponents but hopefully our defence will be on song.

No James Harrison for them and he'll be a miss and rumours JD will be left out. In some ways I hope so but love the way the bloke plays.

I know a lot of people on here did not like J.G.I  had a dispute with him but he did have the club at heart and what ever you may think of him he got one thing very right he appointed James Ford as head coach

No James Harrison  That's true James broke his foot in the Hull game

rumours JD will be left out  In some ways I hope so   quite possibly he has only been on the bench due to James injury

Halton who was rested last week will be back in the starting 17  if Webbo  goes with Hardcastle on the bench again  JD will miss out

But if Hardcastle misses out JD may keep his place on the bench but he is still under pressure from Field  Cooper McConnell  and Summers  for that spot  all down to Webbo😀

I dont really know the reason. Informed that it was going to happen and we did our best to give everyone the heads-up, on air, prior to, that it would. I'll have to check about this Sunday and let you know....

No O'Hagen on Sunday.

best rested till 100%  , marshy and riley dean forming a good partnership at halfback , jason bass back on the wing with either bjb or keiron at fullback , think we have enough to get the win if we fire on all cylinders

Absolutely agree. I don't think we get the best of Marsh at FB but gets far more opportunities to threaten when he is closer to our attacking line. On top of that, I'd love to see KD having some space to run from full back.  Is PW fit yet? As I'd have him taking the other wing position.

It would be a big call, but rather than move threequarters about to cover FB, I would play Harrison who is a specialist FB and showed against Wigan, he is very capable. It is a strong 21 man squad, whoever plays won't let the Knights down.

No word on when Tyme Nikau will be back.
