Some very competitive games in L1 today.

Can I just say that Workington's kit wins 2021! Awesome

Its a great kit isnt it, had a few good ones lately, kept them nice and simple.

Excellent win that for Town, though as usual we do like to help the opposition back into the game, especially at kick offs after we have scored.

Coventry hanging in there 20-28 against Barrow. Looks like Rochdale pulling away from WW Raiders now 28-4

Looked like we were going to score again but Raiders were strong at the end.

20-38 finall score.

Encouraging start for Bears though.

Full time Bears 20 Barrow 38. Was close at one point with a sin binning extinguishing any chance of a come back. Bears more than matched Barrow in the middle though and apart from an early blitz of tries were right in the game

Good effort , encouraging . More competitive the league the better

Well done to Workington, a hard place to go to, so a very good win. The rest were non surpring wins although Barrow looked shaky at times by all accounts.

Think Barrow have a few players playing out of position due to a raft of injuries but fair play to Cov for making a game of it.

Coventry’s match at West Wales next weekend should be interesting. The latter competed very well today against Rochdale Hornets, until the latter’s blitz at the start of the second half.  The architect of that was Sean Penkywicz who registered 4 tries, but WW never gave up and scored on the hooter. A lot of cobwebs to dust off until we can see the front runners in this league.

Sean Penkywicz still knows how to grab a try. Prolific for a hooker.
