RFL preferred pitch width is 68m, minimum pitch width 55m (intended for junior games), Aaron Bower is reporting Odsal will be 51m if they include the correct 3m run-offs either side.

I would assume then, we'll have 1m grass run off either side with a covering over the dirt track for the extra 2m and a 55m pitch then.ย

The next 2 opponents at Odsal (York and Newcastle) have reportedly agreed to the smaller pitch. Could be a forwards battle this Sunday!

Yeah Jack teanby and Joe porter on the wings๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

Coming out of Bradford Odsal pitch is now only 51 metres wide, which technically makes it unsuitable for professional rugby league.

I think you may be right, or maybe 2m grass run offs either side so 53m, but 55m is still extremely narrow for Championship rugby league.

51 53 55 are all irrelevant according to RFLย  minimum width for big boy pitch 68m so whatever comes to pass sunday the game will stillย  be a farceย

Thatโ€™s correct both york and Newcastle agreed to the pitch size. Has been said just them two games needs to be modified more for other games. Guess restrictions off fans at dewsbury twisted bradfords arm quicker than was ready to go back odsal.ย
ย

Think york and Newcastle agreed so didnโ€™t fall behind on fixtures. After Newcastle game we then have 3 weeks to modify whatever needs modifying make it 55 metres.

the stock cars have agreements to race through the year (right till boxing day) so how are they going to widen the pitch after 3 weeks and still have it suitable for stock cars?

They have plans for corners to be re-installed for the Widnes game. They used to have corners that came up for stock cars/Speedway.

Donโ€™t get whatโ€™s changed bulls took 300 fans down to London with the 300 we got allocated. All super league been both sets fans so no idea whatโ€™s changed in a week to not allow both fans there only got to section them in a stand.

Yes, see weโ€™ve been allocated space on the crumbling end terrace. I thoughtย that had been closed for safety reasons. Well I suggest starting the game at the top and by the time itย ends youโ€™ll have slid to the bottomย ready to applaud the knights players at the final hooter!๐Ÿคฃ

seems strange that end terrace was unusable for years until the stockcar lads arrived and hey presto its now safe n sound again

The end terrace was repaired during the early part of this year, Bradford Council have done a full safety check on the stadium and it was granted a Safety Certificate.

Think itโ€™s the ever changing rules thought it was odd when Warrington fans was at Salford game.

ย

I just canโ€™t wait for us all to get back to the rugby no limited crowds. Well hope too see some knight fans there today glad to go back to the sport we all love after so long.

Yes, Warrington fans were at Salford on Thursday night but no Hull fans at St. Helens on Friday night. May be the different local authorities making the decisions.
