You cant 'single' him out as there were several other really poor defensive efforts.

It's not just the defensive efforts that are poor it's also attacking options which are poor especially play 5 and 6

Does anyone know why York & Newcastle agreed to the Odsal move? I’m assuming it’s financial? Perhaps the away team would be allowed to keep a bigger % of their ticket sales? There has to be a bigger inducement than “it is good for the game” hasn’t there?

Wasn't it down to Covid and to avoid a fixture pile up?

Could have played at Tetley’s with the same result.

Bulls Odsal advantages - more fans, back home, more support, more cash.
York Odsal advantages- none

RL in general- feel good for RL

Which is why I was asking what was in it for York? And the only 2 possibilities were financial (as above) or the RFL asked nicely as a favour.

But now I’m getting what you mean. York weren’t given the option of Tetley’s or Odsal, you were given the option of Odsal now or Odsal later on.

Sneaky, sort of forced your hand.

Sick of hearing about Odsal tbh, yet again everyone has had to bend over backwards to accommodate the place, to the detriment of the actual sport itself now. Holding the game there just smacked of Bradford squeezing as much money as they could out of the fans yet again.

Fine, Bradford would have beat us even if they'd played on an adult sized pitch, that's not what people are complaining about despite Jordan Lilley fuelling ill will by whinging to the media about us measuring the pitch, but the place is a millstone around the whole game's neck all cos it got a big crowd in the 50s and Bradford housewives who got in free used to wave foam fingers about and dance to "Woolly Bully" in 2003.

Either make the place it suitable for the 21st century before a ball is kicked there again or back fill it.

It's stuff like this that makes the sport seem small time and actively discourages sensible money being invested into it.
