You say ****, but I want England Union side to lose every game, I just have to pretend I don’t to mates who I’ve managed to get watching RL.

Exactly, only ****s can't keep it themselves in public from either side . Sometimes hard to keep the smug smile hidden though 😁

Having lost my passion for top level football and the England team, I still want them to win the Euros, I'm still an England fan at heart, I just aren't as emotionally attached to them anymore.

On the other hand, England winning the RLWC will give me immense pride and it will hopefully give the entire sport a kick up the backside, especially if the women do well too, although some on here believe no other forms of RL should exists beyond men's professional!

So I'd like them both to win , but I'd have a lot more pride and emotional attachment to any of the national RL teams being successful.

Ideally both, but if I have to choose, there's no choice but the RWC.mW17yF8.png

I want the game to grow and the game to thrive. England seemingly don’t and while they behave in that way, I won’t back them.

Unbelievable . Maybe winning the World Cup might help ?

Great patriotism here from England supporters. Like reporters from the tabloids before every major international  football competition.... then reality strikes.

Remember, when the union WC last held in England well inmho the Rugby League team will not be as bad.. but for me they aren't reaching the final perhaps not even the semi-final.

Best chance is that October and November are unusually bitterly cold.

Not only do I prefer RLWC (and even better a full house of men's, women's & wheelchair...), but if I knew England were going to win the RLWC, I'd actually hope for a disappointing Euros for the football team, so that the RLWC win didn't get overshadowed.

I don't think it would overshadow it personally, I think it would help bring eyes to it.

Some people will think "Not only have we won the Euros, we've also won..."

but also "Who cares if we won... We still haven't won anything in football."

It's easy to find out on Google,  the wonders of technology.

Tonga have beaten all the tier 1 nations in the most revent internationals... Odds too big?

Maybe. I don’t see Tonga winning it. I think they are better chance than England though. I reckon the England squad would be in danger of making the semis if it wasn’t held in England.

For me it's not either/or. It's both. If the comps were running concurrently, then RLWC. Unless the concurrent games were major England soccer game vs England minor RL game, in which case England soccer first.

I suppose it shows the state of our game at the moment that the question is even asked, and as for some of the responses, well, just appalling

Yes, would you rather Scotland finished with no points in the Euros or RLWC?
