Toby King with confirmed medial ligament damage from that tackle. Probably didn’t help that he stayed on and played the full 80. Not sure how long he’s out for.

Surprised we haven't had more apologies from the Saints fans on here, maybe they will be on later.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Just accept the criticism from his 'gamesmanship'.

He sprinted back 30+ yards to get on his own goal line before choosing to collapse on the floor, conveniently so that play would have to be stopped. Nobody is saying he didn't pick up an injury, its how he used that to manipulate the referee into stopping the game to prevent Saints from being able to attack a broken Warrington defensive line.

He played within the rules, but just like previous gamesmanship acts (like stopping play at drop outs), there's a fairly quick & easy rule change that could be brought in to stop players doing it in the future.

If play is stopped for an injury while the opposition has possession then the injured player should have to leave the field until their team next regains possession. If they don't want to be a man down the defending team can choose to use a substitution instead, (or for head injuries use the HIA temporary interchange).

A rule like this stops the game being held up for minor knocks and would pretty much eliminate the 'faking' of injuries or other acts of 'gamesmanship' like we saw from King to buy your team time to reset the defensive line or have a breather.

I don't like to single clubs out but for some reason, despite their success, Saints fans seem to be amongst the most bitter and obsessed with conspiracies and other bu*****t, as a quick read of the toxic mess that Redvee has become will attest.

Perhaps it's just the combined legacy of the five years in a row plus that choke in the 2019 cup final. In which case I suppose it's a price worth paying.

That is punishing somebody for getting injured.

But the current rules punishes the team without an injured player, leading to players 'faking' injury to give their own team an advantage.

Injuries have always been part & parcel of the game, some are just plain bad luck, some are self inflicted with poor tackling technique and some are now 'faked / exaggerated' by individual players in order to gain an unfair advantage.

The game has attempted to address player welfare while balancing against the needs of the game, but unfortunately its being exploited by players / coaches in order to gain an advantage so maybe its time to look again at how the rules can be tweaked to eliminate the faking / gamesmanship.

Who has been faking injuries?

Griffin did his achilles. King did his medial knee ligaments as mentioned above.

People are going to quite extraordinary lengths to 'fake' an injury, including actually being injured. Maybe they are getting a teammate to give them a serious leg injury in the sheds post-match to prove a point.

Yup. King missed out on playing for England this week and not in the Wire squad due to his injury.

We will be in trouble if we change rules every time Saints lose and spit their dummy.

I just hope the Cas fans know what they are letting themselves in for if Saints 'bokkle' it again at Wembley.

Typical Wire fans completely denying King did any sort of 'gamesmanship' at all

The 'incidents'  were very minor parts of the game, with only King's looking anything like gamesmanship. But the losing coach has made it a main focus, instead of his team.

So just watching France and an injured player walked onto the pitch to go down injured to stop the game, the ref came over and told him to get off..

Clearly that ref is not from warrington!

Did the Saints fans boo him?

Typical saints fans comments, since1954 we have not won the league or GF, its one of 2 giant gorilla's we have had to carry, the other was always losing to saints, we have now removed one gorilla and beat saints quire regularly especially big games, but saint's fans can't accept that we can beat them so its the ref or players cheating. Like we are used to not winning the GF you might as well get used to losing more regularly against Warrington.

It usually is close calls that appear to go in favour of the wolves, I am sure there were quite a few the other way when Saints regurlalry beat the wolves... anyhow a dodgy header last year and dodgy gamesmanship this year are facts..

Warrington played to the refs whistle and tried to bend the rules which the ref allowed.. most would say this is part of proffessional sport..

Figments of your biased imagination does not make them facts.

So I imagined the centre heading the ball or did it actually happen?

I imagined players running back onside before being injured (like the soccer player the other night) or did it happen.

These are facts, and dont be deluded into thinking these never happend because they did.

I have clearly said that one was a fluke and within the rules the other is obviously cheating thats creeping into the game and needs stamping out.

The header was like the hull player throwing the ball down for play on. Within the rules, not very sporting but averages out over the course of the season.

The fact that bravely Toby King with a genuine injury risked further injury to help his defend their hard fought lead and now has had to miss an international game as well as other games is not a cheating player but a brave but possibly foolish player who put the team before his personal ambition. Hero not cheat.

Well this is starting to get embarrassing.

Nope cheat,

No need to run back when injured other than to stop the game.

I am not calling him out its something thats creeping in that needs a tweak in the rules..

This week isnt an international either
