Will Dagger

Recommended Posts

Looks like Saturday might have been Dagger's last game for us, at least under his current spell, if this is right.

That and Minns' injury is going to leave us struggling a bit in the backs (though I think Dagger wouldn't have been eligible for the Wembley game anyway as there was a transfer deadline before the semi-final).

Presumably Chissy will move back to full back with Hall staying on the wing, but Halton might need to resume his centre partnership with Hardcastle, luckily we are a bit better off in terms of depth in the pack despite Bussey's injury.

Is Jacob D still injured or is that not an option in webbo's eyes could we utilise Jake S in the backs or bring back liam W for a place on the wing but lets not forget Kris W surely he MUST be close to a return

It's been mysteriously quiet about his absence though...Webbo has mentioned everybody but him in his interviews. Have you got any info about when he's likely to return?

Thanks, had missed that. Only 10 days ago so sounds like he'll be out for a few more games.

Let's hope that the Covid outbreaks that seem to be hitting SL teams stay clear of the Championship - and especially us and York for the next couple of weeks.

Indeed, this is good news.

Interesting decision for Webster though. Does he keep him at full back or switch him to the wing? I think the latter, Hall to centre, and Chissy back to full back, enabling Halton to stay in the forwards (and avoiding the tough decision of which of our three halves to omit).

Good call.

Before the semi final I seem to remember Webbo commenting that it was too late to bring anyone in for that game as the deadline had passed, so I reckon no, I think I checked the rules at the time too.

In 2019 the  cut off point was Friday July 19  nine days before the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup semi finals. so would have thought same again this year

He was looking for flights back to oz a few days ago according to his twitter feed...
